Great respect to the family who have owned and maintained this iconic landmark since the 1930's. Legendary and Loyal.

The building we shot in dates from 1934 at 6667 Hollywood Blvd, but the reststaurant had opened in 1919 next door at 6669

Thank you for such a nice visit back to the Musso and Frank Grill.
The last time that I dined there was on September 13, 1996.
Felix was my waiter that day.
I can remember the place from back in 1964. this Hollywood Icon is sort of a time warp, only the prices seem to change.
I used to eat at Musso's a few times a week throughout the 1970's and spent more time in the phone booths than I did at the Bar.

When we took our Hollywood trip for two weeks, we knew we wanted three places we had to eat. Musso's, The Chateau Marmont and the El Coyote for Mexican. But it was Musso's that we loved. In fact we had dinner and the next week lunch. I had the famous New York Stip and of course my daughter and I had martini's. We felt like we went back in time to the 1940's. Loved it. My daughter bought me the Musso's book for my birthday.

I have three Servers and since I don't get in as much as I used to I alternate them...and Tip like crazy since they all split anyway.

I worked in the Hollywood Post Production biz for years and my first visit to Musso and Frank was from an invite by my client. Since then I brought clients here and now, over the last decade, I’ve been a regular. My routine is to sit at the bar, order a Martini prepared by Sonny, and then enjoy my regular dinner: NY steak with a Caesar Salad. My bucket list, now that I’m retired, would be to be honored with a Charge Account. I love Musso and Frank. The ambiance is worth the price of admission.

I'm afraid the book is closed. The prices have become ludicrous to the point I don't go anymore. Try the Smokehouse across from Warner Brothers in Burbank. Same ambiance but no clip joint pricing. Danny Kay and some others opened it in 1946. Great drinks, great food. No tourists. There is a gate to the lot across the street but its been closed a long time. Too many liquid lunches!

@@ForeverHollywood Yes, Smoke House. I live in Burbank, so I’ve been to Smoke many times. I like Smoke House, but Musso has history with me, and its ambiance is silly but addictive.

Go back to your old Welsh Rarebit recipe!!!!!!!!!! Remember The Stanley Rose Bookstore, which is now the New Room, that's where and why the writers spent time together during the new "Talkie" Fad! See The Boys in the Backroom by Bud Schulberg!

Good interview but a little dry, Jerky, and impersonal.
Always good to see Musso & Frank doing well.
