It’s probably not good to take more people because you need to keep the teleportation circles a secret. Plus most of the people around Rudy were students, as you noted. Also, once Rudy and elf grandma reaches Begarit (I forget how to spell it), he should meet up with his father and Roxy’s party, so they are not low on numbers.
@@AnimeAestheticYT Yes it is in the LN and they skip about half of this trip in the Anime. The Succubus alone would be enough not to do a night trip with Rudeus. The Succubus only works on the opposite sex. Gay man are unaffected and its unclear whether it works on bisexual woman. (Doesnt seem to be the case but never clarified). Also Battle Aura (never explained in the anime) is protecting Elinalise and Rudeus is using magic to make a cold pocket for himself so the heat is easier to deal with.
Rudeus had to really argue to get an extended leave of absence from school. Cliff has grown and realized he would be a hinderance on this journey (he learned that lesson when he has gone on an adventure with Soldat in EP10).
0:45 "Has Cliff shown it to her?" Well, yeah. Otherwise he can't record the results. The point about the implement is to extend her curse's timer from about two weeks to however long they can delay it. But the "battery" drains after a few hours with Cliff's and Elinalise's mana. Rudeus is the only one with enough mana to spare to make it work at all. Elinalise had to hunt for men only once during their journey, thanks to the next prototype. They traveled the desert during the day because most of the creatures come out at night.
Ahhh I see ok that was a detail that was in the LN?

Info from the LN: the succubus pheromones smell bad to women
