The whole sequence of Sausage leading Oli to the tavern had me smiling ear to ear!! You two are such a dynamic comedic duo!!! And oh my gosh this whole episode was a TRIP!! Brilliant storytelling!
i love that Oli's character is a sort of deadpool type in the vein of he's self aware about it being a series, and just regularly breaks the fourth wall while everyone else is just confused

Theory: Afterlife SMP is most likely set in between Empires S1 and S2. TheOrionSound fell down from the clouds(as we all know) and might of accidentally time traveled ~500 years into the future. It’s most likely around that many years into the future as Sausage said that S2 takes place 1000years after S1 (or it might of been 3000). The reason why he never recognised Pearl is because he was never on Empires S1 and Pearl was never on the Afterlife SMP. The reason why TheOrionSound recognised Sausage is because Everybody( Apart from false but she could be an ancestor of Pearl) is an Ancestor of another character from S1. Take Lizzie for example. Lizzie said in one of her episodes that her ancestors were trapped in cages and were ruled by a human. The human could be S1 Joey while Lizzies ancestors could be his Villagers. I’m pretty sure she also said that her ancestors lived in the jungle as well. Edit: Fwhip the Goblin could be an ancestor from S1 Scott’s Villagers as I think they were elves. Since the corruption came back, they might of retreated underground and simply adapted to their surroundings.
building on this, Sausage’s character is a decendant from a citizen of Mythland. Not necessarily the Sausage from season 1, but from one of his citizens. he blew up mythland in the name of pearl to cleanse it from the blood sheep infestation and all the citizens retreated to the forest where they would adapt with all the animals and creatures living in it. Sausage’s builds in Afterlife was what they built and thanks to a church priest (Elytrian Sausage) having overheard who King Sausage had made the sacrifice for they began to worship pearl as a goddess (Saint Pearl). after the events of afterlife, several more citizens left rly far away to make a new kingdom and this was current Sausage’s old kingdom. this would then connect it to current Sausage’s origin story
all the other empires at the start of s2: these are NEW characters COMPLETELY UNRELATED to season 1 sausage and oli: can i interest you in some into the empiresverse

the flashbacks you're doing this season are so cool!! just in general, this season has been incredible so far and it feels like it'll just keep getting better!! appreciate everything y'all are doing

I love how Sausage used finding Oli as an excuse to decorate his pathways with slabs 😅 this episode was really entertaining and so interesting with the inclusion of the flashbacks. I can't wait to see how the knowledge of last season that Oli holds will come into play this season.

Thus Oli has arrived at your Empire. Leading to more lore being shown off. And I am curious if what he speaks of is him remembering past lives. Lives that no one else can recall until now. As you Sausage are starting to remember pieces of them. Recalling Pearl after finding a Shrine to her in the Ancient City which Pix is living in. And now recalling a time as a divine being who went to meet a priest, a friend, in the form of Oli. And yet...the vision you had of your old home is quite strange.... Could it be that it was a past life? One you for some reason recall?
I have a theory. This season’s Sausage came from the remnants of Mythland. He mentions worshipping a sunflower goddess, which is something Bubbles might have started to honor Pearl, but over the thousand years, the facts of the story were lost and the tradition changed from honoring a famous historical to figure to praying to a goddess.

I haven't watched today's episode as of writing this but I think this might be your best episode yet! I love the acting skills on display here, the new visions, the reactions to them... the whole bit with Oli was absolutely great too. The gag with the trapdoor/Oli repeatedly falling was so funny - and I heard you two laughing about it as well :P And then the semi-failed "yes-and" later where Oli just gave you a "...what" XD

I haven't watched today's episode as of writing this but I think this might be your best episode yet! I love the acting skills on display here, the new visions, the reactions to them... the whole bit with Oli was absolutely great too. The gag with the trapdoor/Oli repeatedly falling was so funny - and I heard you two laughing about it as well :P And then the semi-failed "yes-and" later where Oli just gave you a "...what" XD
