I've been trying to charge per time but haven't succeeded. I get so insecure when I tell my day rate cause my mind thinks the clients think, "Why is this guy charging that? his work is not bad, but he doesn't really have that much experience freelancing, and he's from Latin America." haha. Imposter syndrome can be a HUGE factor in failing at this, especially when you don't have that much experience. But I guess it's another skill we need to keep learning, trial and error.
This is definitely something we've all experienced at some point! A trick for this is to say your rate over and over in the mirror - sounds ridiculous! But, in doing so you'll become practised and far more confident in saying your rate, because you've said it hundreds of times! Your clients should also notice that you're confident in what you're saying :) If you're emailing the client it's a little different, but how often do you actually receive that response? :)
