Focus on getting the prospect to the next step in the process rather than trying to close the deal on the first interaction

That is great advice because that will show you truly understand what the client needs and the value you provide.

Hi Natasha ! Thanks for this insightful video , quick question what would you recommend for payment option if the recruiter is based in Canada and let’s say recruit for a US based company? Just starting out don’t have a business account set up would appreciate if u could help ,

Thanks for the comment and congratulations on starting your recruiting business. Starting by consulting with your banker when you set up your business account is the best option, however, IMO you should consider accepting payment in USD and offer international bank wire as the payment option. This option does come with higher fees and take a little longer, however, it is typically secure and provides a low level of risk and high level of financial compliance. Provide clear instructions, including SWIFT codes and IBAN, to ensure smooth transactions. If the associated fees are problematic, you can also consider allowing credit cards, so you would just need to set up with a service like Stripe or even PayPal. I hope this is helpful.

I am running an employment agency in Canada, started it 2 years ago: It is kind of getting hard bc of lack of jobs ; what are your thoughts on that?

It's tough out there, but keep pushing and adapting to the market changes. It's important to realize that in most tough markets, there are parts of the economy that do well, and parts that don't. You need to think differently about finding the companies that are positioned to thrive in a challenging market because they will need to fill roles to grow. As an example, tech jobs in AI are in high demand and the demand is increasing, while tech jobs in other specialties are declining a bit....and it wasn't that long ago that those jobs were growing in demand. Hope this helps!
