Cool to see Darton competing with the other bows. My first Darton was MC 500 Lightning back in the late 80s. Super fast! Won a lot of 3D shoots with it.
My first really fast good Bow was a Darton Viper, I think it was sometime around 82 or 83 give or take a year or so when I got it.. it's hard to put a exact date on it cause that's been so long ago but it was a great Bow I had a overdraw on it that's something you don't hear of anymore is a overdraw lol .. I really like the looks of this new Darton I've always liked Darton but I really like the looks of this new 31 ...thanks for the great video as usual guys..
I've shot the sequel 31 gonna try the 33 see witch one I like better. Either way I plan to buy 1 or tge other. I can honestly say I really like the 31.
Great review, wish you had a camera on the target for the full effect. However, the point is made and the bow is nice with professional archers to help us. The new Garmin chrono seems nice as well. I've been curious since I bought my Triax (which was my first new bow in eons) how fast the new bows are and how ASA still holds to the old speed limits. You have to tune your bow down to meet the legacy limits and i don't know how folks are doing it. Regardless, the new bows are so nice and Braden made a good point that they are certainly making archery easier for most folks.
It's fun to see the rep there, but it makes the bow review feel pressured - like you need to please them. I'm sure its a great bow but I love hearing PJ on his own with his own thoughts. Just my opinion!
It's all about selling bows etc. Pick the one you like the most. "They are all great!" You will never see, hear a honest opinion here,...it's business as usual.
I've heard PJ give his honest opinion on Bows but what PJ likes you may not like and what I like in a Bow neither of yall might like and thats why everyone needs to go to their local archery shop and shoot the Bows. Cause really all new flagship Bows made today are good it's just personal opinion on what you like speed, smooth draw , short ata long ata , 75 percent letoff or 85 percent and so on..
Doesn’t seem to be hitting that 335 mark based off other speed test @ 70lb /350gr - which would make sense if the draw is that smooth. Having trouble believing any of these manufactured speed ratings anymore.
if you equate the kinetic energies of an 350grs arrow flying at 311fps, which you just saw, with a 300grs (i.e. 5grs/lbs) arrow flying at X fps, you can calculate that, at 5grs/lbs, the arrow speed X is, in fact == 335.9 fps.
@@milansekularac6196 according to your calculations - which don’t account for cam efficiency - the real world test don’t even break 330. Mid 320s are the best I’ve seen. Still a great shooting bow I’d imagine but all these manufactures inflate their speed ratings.
Nice bows and reasonably priced!
Darton was king of the 80’s around here!

I shot a Darton renegade for years. 80lbs. Was a super fast bow. I hit 330 with it
Wish there was more about the 33
I'm anxious to try one PJ. See you at the Lancaster Archery Classic. I’ll try one when I’m there.

Will you be putting out a video on the Consequence?
Love a Darton
I am buying Both Sequels. I'm a real big fan of darton an bowtech the best 2 Manufacturers.
You really need to review the 33 sequel, just like you reviewed the PSE Evolve.
The 33 hit my radar as a bow I’d be interested in but sadly where I live I’ve never even seen a darton much less shot 1 lol
My first compound bow was a dartan sl 50 and man could I shoot that bow .
My dad had one and it shot lights out
Damn! Any Darton dealers in VT/NH?

The fact you think it’s PJ opinion is funny

The whole video, from start to finish, looks staged, sounds scripted like hell.
Starring: PJ Reilly. 😂 😂😂
