I was generally baffled by this, I really like Curtis and Emma as a couple and to find out this is a bit shocking coming from a likeable character. Clearly he needs help, I can understand his worry about his heart due to the operation he had as a boy but like the doctor said he’s ok and should take his word. I feel for Curtis having irrational thoughts about this, I really do hope he gets the help and who knows maybe Emma would understand and try and help. She’s very sweet that way.

They should just rename Coronation Street to; “Secrets and Lies” ... because that’s all this show is nowadays. At any given time, the characters are either just outright lying to the people they love the most, keeping secrets from the people they love the most, being blackmailed or blackmailing someone, scheming to get revenge, wrongful convictions in the courts... have I missed anything?
Don't people with munchausens know they're not ill? I mean for e.g. in the Gypsy Rose case, which was munchausens by proxy, both the mum and daughter knew she wasn't really sick and didn't have learning difficulties.

It explains so much why he never wants anyone with him in the room my face dropped when I found out cause I liked Curtis and love Emma how could he do this to Emma after what she has been through past 2 yrs losing her other dad her brother it’s bad tbh but idk if I’ve got any other soap fans here I like most of. Then lol but if u like Hollyoaks I remember maxine Munchhausen’s disease 🦠 so Curtis probably has that I do feel bad 4 him cause it’s a metal disease but it’s cause he is doing this to Emma I love ❤️ her so much can’t wait to see how story line unfolds
@@bossedtheory I don't know if it's been revealed yet but it was obvious the way he reacted when Emma got Aggie's help with the medical exam. Aggie would potentially have known that he didn't work at the hospital.
This storyline does anger me because I was born with Conjenital heart disease and had 2 major heart surgeries to save my life and then we have a Corrie character lying about it pfttt

I don't think he's faking...I think there is something else wrong that's causing him to faint..I don't think he's a scammer but has psychology issues that need to be taken care of...it's best he doesn't tell Emma because she's so bossy constantly telling him what to do and not do...and pushy pushy pushy with so many questions she would drive me nuts.

Just to name the obvious ones that come to mind.... But totally agree with you, it seems like a pointless storyline for his character to have.... The writings seriously gone down hill of late on this show.
Perhaps he was having a panic attack, and that caused him to faint? Can't remember how it looked exactly, but if he was hyperventilating that could explain the fainting part....

If his mind is convinced, his body will mimic the effects of the condition he's convinced he has. To be fair, he hardly pushed the car far before he was down, and he looked perfectly normal the whole time lol. Perhaps it's just terrible acting.
He has mental health issues more then anything. So he has an irrational fear due to having that hole in heart so it’s essentially…if it’s going around he has it kind of thing (can’t think of the term of the top of my head) and that’s purely based on this clip alone, with a therapist he probably would be able to get the help he needs, but when someone doesn’t want help…how can you help them?
I do have sympathy knowing that he genuinely thinks he’s ill and isn’t just faking to get money or sympathy
