You did not mention the relationship between Evil-Lyn and the Faceless One. Although not a secret since the fact was revealed in the 200X series, the story of how Keldor/Skeletor obtained the Havoc Staff contributed to the family tree of interconnected relationships.
I saw a similar comment here, but I also want to say, in case these are seen by people involved in show production, .....I just said OUT LOUD, to myself, "Why can't we just get the rest of the Mike Young series?!"
@@spectorcreative1872 yeah.... I know.....and it was a later time slot and wasn't really promoted or marketed to kids....(Four Horseman sculpts were great though), but NOW..... I mean c'mon.... it's such a cluster anyway......we have multiple MOTU toy lines, toys in stores that don't really reference any immediate content that an average kid would know or care about or really have access to (looking at you Keldor/Kronis 2 pack), there is REVELATION and all that goes with it, that new Netflix MOTU trailer ( very special indeed) , the Kevin Smith "I guess Skeletor is Anakin now" comic storyline, the collector market Super 7 figures (Club Grayskull and the Vintage line AND ReAction) ....with all of that why not just throw in another one (to keep the people who have SUPPORTED the brand for decades happy). They seem to have no issues with literally having multiple stories, designs/looks and incarnations happening concurrently (which also having worked in product, I find odd but people sat at a table and signed off on it so.....) Like you said in the Skeletor backstory/ comic video....more Skeletor multiverse options means more opportunities to have ones you like. ......So by that logic why not give us the one that we were actually sad to see go? We are already at ludicrous speed so what is one more bit of plaid? Lol Yes it would be more money up front but it would pay for itself, as they are currently doing a bit of damage to their overall brand (I'm not saying this in relation to me necessarily, but with regard to general negative public response). So one more drop in the pot but a drop that fans are wanting. I know their focus is kids but MOTU fan parents will be more likely to buy for their kids if they don't have negative feelings towards the new branding. It's the "summer if MOTU" but I don't know to whom they are directing it.....new fans/kids don't care yet or know the characters yet and old fans are mostly grumpy and a little irritated. Who is their audience right now? They need to read the room a smidge better. Placate us first, THEN do Orko the robot. I guess REVELATION was supposed to be the bargaining chip. Oh boy did that backfire. Didn't mean that to be long, sorry. I hope it reads as observation not aggression.

"I fisted hard, He-Man, but I could not fist them all!" That's a great example, and far from the only one, but whose decision was it to give MOTU such homoerotic undertones?
Over all, quite interesting, and helpfull video. Especially in case ofthe whole "He-Man warriors, and Grayskull Sorceress linage". But I have a question.. Wasn't Skeleteen a son of Skeletor AND Shadow Weaver? That's at least the version I had heared.
Eternian DNA seems to be Compatible with any humanoid of Comparable physiology. But the Gar and Earthlings are Alien Races yet they breed just fine with Eternians but is it Eternians or the fact that both were descendants of King Grayskull? The house of Miro seem to be Xenophiles. Also why are there Horses on Eternia? Shouldn't Big Cats be the main form of Transport? Stridor should have been Man at Arms trying to build the creature Queen Marlena told him about.
Don't Unicorns exist in Eternia... perhaps their Horses are alternate branches in the Unicorn tree... or they shed their Horn seasonally like Deer do here
It was not revealed yet in the series. But Ian Richeter confirmed this was the plan in the interview he did on He-Man.org and in the family tree document from this video. The show was canceled before this reveal
I've been watching your channel for awhile and I must correct you on this family tree thing... To begin... Eternia is the center of all magic in the Universe, with it being concentrated on one spot. That spot is where King Grayskull built his castle. Wanting the power to help him conquer the universe, Hordak, leader of the Horde, attempts to take over Eternia. First he defeats the Snakemen, who have been in a genrations long war with the other races on Eternia, sending them into exile in Snake Mountain. King Grayskull and his Gar (Blue skinned humans) advisors, realizing the threat from the Horde, devise strategies to defeat them. The Gar develop two large rubies, that when put into the eyes of the castle could be used to destroy the Horde's ships in orbit. King Grayskull feared the falling debris could hurt or kill Eternians and so decides, with the help of his wife (the first Sorcerous) to banish Hordak. Then without a leader, the Horde would fight among themselves and be easier to defeat. Afterwards, The Gar fearing Grayskull just delayed an invasion, plotted to assassinate him and his whole family. They missed his wife and one of his sons (the first He-Ro). Rallying their forces, Mother and son round up all the Gar on Eternia, executed the leaders who orchestrated the assassinations and exiled the rest to an island. Generations later, King Miro, descendent of He-ro, is on his yacht when a storm hits. Ship goes down and he is shipwrecked on the Gar island where he is found by a woman and nursed back to health. They fall in love and have a son, Keldor. When Miro's forces finally find him, the advisors tell him the Gar woman cannot leave the island, they cannot marry and being bastard born, Keldor can never become king. Leaving his mother behind, Miro takes Keldor to his castle (since Castle Grayskull has been abandoned for generations) and later marries and has a son, Randor. Years later, after Miro's death Randor is crowned king, secretly upseting his older brother. Keldor then starts plotting to overthrow his younger brother. After doing research he discovers that Hordak was banished and trapped on Etheria in the Despondos dimension. He learns how to contact Hordak and promises to help him escape in exchange Hordak helps him overthrow Randor. Turns out the only way to break the banishment is to use the pure blood of a male descendant of Grayskull (Keldor's blood isn't pure since he is half Gar), and Randor and his wife (an astronaut from Earth ) just had twins, Adam and Adora. Keldor masterminds the kidnapping of Adam, but not wanting Hordak released yet grabs Adora instead and sends her to Hordak on Etheria (and obviously can't try that trick again). Hordak and one of his minions, Shadoweaver raise Adora to lead his forces (and one day become She-Ra). Then came the fateful day Keldor decided to overthrow Randor and winds up with a face full of acid and to save his life, Hordak combines him with Demo-Man in the hopes Demo-Man would try and return to Despondos and give Hordak a means of escape,. But Keldor's will was too great and Skeletor was born. Miro was never married to Keldor mother. Keldor (Skeletor) was not exiled because he was accused of killing his step-mother, but rather ran away after his failed coup attempt. The Power Sword has nothing to do with Orko and his people. Adam uses the sword to connect to his ancestor, Grayskull to transform into He-Man, same as his sister when she changes into She-Ra (It is fantasy afterall). I have heard you get this story wrong time and again and it has been driving me crazy. This is a combination of the 200X series and the DC comics history. I know this is a long comment, but please start using this history instead. this is most correct.
You're trying to lecture the man who literally worked AT MATTEL and was part of all this that you're lecturing him on. MOTU is a multiverse, for one. And you're just mixing two different versions for your "correct version", not quoting an actual iteration of the setting. Scott worked on and wrote much of the very lore he's giving information on while he worked at Mattel, which is the unified mixed lore of the MOTU Classics Minicomics. You're basically saying one branch of the universe tree, which you took on yourself to blend from two different sources, is more important than the roots, and telling the guy who wrote the very lore and metacanon that he's...wrong.
I always liked He-Ro as Adam and Adora's ancestor more than King Grayskull. One of the few things that I like about the backstory of the Netflix show is that they've made Grayskull the father to He-Ro.
Remember when Retroblasting thought that Scott created Keldor even though he was referred to in the mini-comics back in the 1980s and appeared in the 200X cartoon which had nothing to do with Scott?? 😅😅😅
I always thought that Adam needed the power sword to retain his He-Man form, but then Dare comes along and uses his father’s sword to become He-Ro. So was I wrong and Adam doesn’t need the sword to remain as He-Man or is there more to that story then that I don’t know?
I think it's like Captain Marvel and Captain Marvel Jr. Either He-Man's a little weaker when his son is drawing on the same power or He-Ro II is not as strong as He-Man but he can also use Magic since his mom's the Sorceress of Grayskull now.
I never thought of that. That is strange. I did think the sword was destroyed and replaced with an energy sword though, or is that yet another different storyline from Toy Guru's version?
Hahaha! Loved the "star of her own Netflix series" line! (And I say this as someone who loved Revelation.) Question: Was it ever confirmed in either the Mike Young series or the associated comics of that era that Randor and Keldor were half-brothers? I believe it has been established since that time (previously the only reference being the minicomic), but I recently rewatched a couple episodes of 200X MOTU and didn't see that they established that connection.
It's the kind of name that has a very short shelf-life. Skeleteen would spend the first 12 years of his life being told "you'll grow into your name," and on his 20th birthday his name becomes irrelevant forever.
Why didn't someone contact you to do revelations? The way you lay out the lore is very clear and pretty awesome.. Also I presume you don't have too research too much anymore, you just know it all...You should really get back in the He-man MOTU line... Your commentary is more interesting than the the new show.. Perhaps start your own IP? Your bound to bring something neat to the collector and Toy scene.. (I also like the way you never diss anyone.. Always positive, which is very appreciated by a lot of people)
What is in the Mike Young Productions' _He-Man and the Masters of the Universe_ animated T.V. series (a.k.a. the 2002-2003 He-Man animated T.V. series or the '200X' He-Man animated T.V. series - I prefer to call it the former) - because Fisto is Man-At-Arms'/Ducan's brother, that would make Man-At-Arms/Ducan not only Teela's adopted father but also Teela's *_biological UNCLE!_* Huh, I always thought that Man-At-Arms/Ducan had no biological connection with his adopted daughter, who is Teela - or maybe that was *_only_* the case in the original Filmation He-Man (as well as the original Filmation She-Ra) animated T.V. series. Well that is a whole other videos!

Well...
I saw a similar comment here, but I also want to say, in case these are seen by people involved in show production,
.....I just said OUT LOUD, to myself, "Why can't we just get the rest of the Mike Young series?!"
Because kids were not into it
@@spectorcreative1872 yeah....
They seem to have no issues with literally having multiple stories, designs/looks and incarnations happening concurrently (which also having worked in product, I find odd but people sat at a table and signed off on it so.....)
Like you said in the Skeletor backstory/ comic video....more Skeletor multiverse options means more opportunities to have ones you like.
......So by that logic why not give us the one that we were actually sad to see go? We are already at ludicrous speed so what is one more bit of plaid? Lol
Yes it would be more money up front but it would pay for itself, as they are currently doing a bit of damage to their overall brand (I'm not saying this in relation to me necessarily, but with regard to general negative public response).
My one issue with the Mike Young series was "Too much anime, quit with the infinite speed lines, and normals who jump 30 ft straight up".
@@vernonsanders9696 Yeah I did have that reaction as well, initially. It was a bit Zeitgeist-y to do anime then. I got used to it....but I did enjoy the writing and where it was going. It balanced humor and drama well.

Where can I find a she ra 1980’s family tree?
Eternian DNA seems to be Compatible with any humanoid of Comparable physiology. But the Gar and Earthlings are Alien Races yet they breed just fine with Eternians but is it Eternians or the fact that both were descendants of King Grayskull? The house of Miro seem to be Xenophiles. Also why are there Horses on Eternia? Shouldn't Big Cats be the main form of Transport? Stridor should have been Man at Arms trying to build the creature Queen Marlena told him about.
Yes, Teela has a horse in the original mini comics

It was not revealed yet in the series. But Ian Richeter confirmed this was the plan in the interview he did on He-Man.org and in the family tree document from this video. The show was canceled before this reveal
@@spectorcreative1872 Thank you sir!
The DC comic is not an extension of the 200x or Classic cannon. It is its own thing, like revelation.
Star of the Netflix series LOL
Had to call it
I always liked He-Ro as Adam and Adora's ancestor more than King Grayskull. One of the few things that I like about the backstory of the Netflix show is that they've made Grayskull the father to He-Ro.
Apparently they have!
Ah, so the bandaged arm was a hint at the true father being Fisto
Yups
Remember when Retroblasting thought that Scott created Keldor even though he was referred to in the mini-comics back in the 1980s and appeared in the 200X cartoon which had nothing to do with Scott?? 😅😅😅
I always thought that Adam needed the power sword to retain his He-Man form, but then Dare comes along and uses his father’s sword to become He-Ro. So was I wrong and Adam doesn’t need the sword to remain as He-Man or is there more to that story then that I don’t know?
Well it is in the bloodline.
I think it's like Captain Marvel and Captain Marvel Jr. Either He-Man's a little weaker when his son is drawing on the same power or He-Ro II is not as strong as He-Man but he can also use Magic since his mom's the Sorceress of Grayskull now.
@@spectorcreative1872 that's a good point.
@@Fenris30 That would be a clever way to explain that actually.
I never thought of that. That is strange. I did think the sword was destroyed and replaced with an energy sword though, or is that yet another different storyline from Toy Guru's version?
Hahaha! Loved the "star of her own Netflix series" line! (And I say this as someone who loved Revelation.)
Question: Was it ever confirmed in either the Mike Young series or the associated comics of that era that Randor and Keldor were half-brothers? I believe it has been established since that time (previously the only reference being the minicomic), but I recently rewatched a couple episodes of 200X MOTU and didn't see that they established that connection.
It was not spoken in the show, but the family tree document is official from the show’s team
