- Today I am on an unplanned journey from Leh to Ensa Gompa - a totally hidden monastery in Ladakh. We also stay at Panamik and enjoy the hot water spring. Located in the serene Nubra Valley, the Panamik Hot Springs are one of Ladakh’s lesser-known but truly remarkable natural wonders.
Why Visit Panamik Hot Springs?
The hot springs are rich in sulfur, which is believed to have therapeutic properties. Bathing in these waters is said to help alleviate skin diseases, joint pain, and other ailments. The warm waters provide a perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation after a long day of exploring.
Panamik is approximately 140 km from Leh, the capital of Ladakh. The journey takes about 5-6 hours by road, passing through the stunning Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Visiting the Panamik Hot Springs offers a unique blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and therapeutic relaxation. Whether you're seeking adventure, tranquility, or a deeper connection with Ladakh's heritage, Panamik is a destination that promises an unforgettable experience.

lovely. I have visited Turtuk and Hundar. When I went there around 8 years ago, tourists were not allowed further. Still we managed to visit the army camp further away from Turtuk.
