Always enjoy your trips to local small towns. I think the door that looked half way covered up by the sidewalk was a coal shoot. We used to have something similar in an older house we grew up in back in P.A. Keep up the great work!

I think I could just soak in our history all day. What a beautiful town rich in many avenues of adventure though the years. Seemed everything stood out, from the old homes to the written history of Longstreet's Calvary to him and his officers saluting the Union for leaving their flask behind in the old home there in Dandridge , TN. The Damn was amazing, I had no idea about the water levels and the town. Hope you were able to find a bite somewhere, I was getting hungry. Take care and as always, God bless you and may his love always surround you and yours.

I live close by there. If it was the Saturday after Thanksgiving or any weekend, it is a hit or miss on stuff being open as they are all private/family shops/businesses. The soda fountain is open during the week for breakfast and lunch. God bless.

We have been to bush’s visitor center twice but have never been to downtown Dandridge.
I think we definitely need to check it out the next time we are in Tennessee!
I would love to retire in Tennessee! 🙏
    Thanks for another great video!

That low metal door was probably a door to load coal in the house.
