I think melon pan is so popular with visiting foreigners because it's shown a lot in anime. I've never tried them but they seem a lot like conchas (Mexican sweet bread) which I have often and adore. Someday I'll try melon pan too. Thanks for the video guys. I wish I was eating all that bread with you!
"I don't know if it's because we're starving right now, but this is really good." lol I think we've all been in that same situation! I just adore you two! You always make me smile. :)
Hi shinichi and satoshi. I just wanna let you guys know I love your videos. They always get me through my crappy days. Thank you! Much love from indonesia.
These all look so delicious, great for breakfast or something nice to eat late at night in your hotel room. Looking forward to tasting some of these when we visit Japan next year
Absolutely love all your reviews. Your wonderful personalities come through and make everything entertaining. Plus, as someone looking to travel to Japan, it’s so informative. Well done on another wonderful clip guys.
They all look good, guys. The kinako one looks the most interesting to me. I would definitely love to see you guys try the rest of the selection or do some kind of a showdown between different brands.
Our 7 eleven in Australia has nothing near to what japan has 😩 lol I wished we had more of a variety, love those bread items those are all wonderful. That chocolate marble one would be my favourite 😍
Interesting to see a condensed milk baguette. In the UK, condensed milk sandwiches were popular in the 1940s and early 1950s when a lot of food was rationed and supplemented with American foods such as powdered egg, Spam, tinned cheese and condensed milk. The bread back then was just a basic wholemeal and called the "national loaf", so anything that could liven up what was very boring bread was highly welcome.
I know this is going to sound weird, but one of the things i'm most looking forward to for my Tokyo visit is to vlog my way through all the convenience store foods (Lawson, Family Mart and 7-Eleven)! haha
Finally a video that featured my absolute favourite Japanese convenience store food; the pancakes with margarine and syrup! Hands down the best thing I discovered while visiting!
Satoshi is so hyped up in this video... His seven eleven bit at the start is hilarious.. hahaha Sinichi's reaction is funny as well. Need to replay that part a few times
Great video guys! Thanks for sharing! I love how creative japanese breads can get. I think it would be amazing a video comparing breads from different convenience stores. Big hug from Brazil! Love you both
Oh man, I miss konbinis so much! We used to have Famima (Family Mart) in SoCal, but they didn’t do well here. I would love the mushroom bread, but without the bacon. I've never heard of maple bread before. Oh, kinako cream sounds divine! We have a Korean bakery chain here called Tous Les Jours, and they have lots of variations on curry pan. My favorite one is stuffed with kimchi. Thanks for this review and have a great week!
Tip if crispy package croissants - oven 180C and reach temperature , place on a backing tray and before placing in the oven sprinkle a dash of water over them , 4-5 mins in the oven and done
Love that chakichaki apple pastry. Yes, please show us more from 7-11 and also please do a comparison test among the different konbini. These videos are so entertaining!
Hello! Melonpan (melon bread) is really popular with foreigners because you often see it in anime or manga as a popular item, so lot of people want to try it when visiting Japan. By the way I had the opportunity to taste it and I was quite disappointed by the texture/taste, I expected something really different (I am French and bread in France is quite a thing). Also I like your videos!
I agree with you! It's the Japanese style bread I've heard the most about, but I actually preferred many other Japanese breads I didn't know about once I tried them. 😁
Thank you for the new video! I would love to see any comparison between the bread or sandwich from 7-11 and other convenience stores! I cannot wait to visit Japan again and try for myself...until then, I appreciate your videos! 😃
Melon pan from 7-Eleven was my main dessert when I was alone for diner in Japan haha! I was so lost with food and not able to speak japanese, so I always ended with kombini food! You should come in France and try all kinds of bread (and cheese of course) we got there! Thank you for the video, so much memories coming back thanks to you as usual, guys!
As a Tourist i loved the „Melonpan“.And the hot Currypan. The Melonpan in Combination with Coffee, and the Currypan with Asahi-Beer.Perfekt Combination. But the best are the Sandwiches with Ham/Cheese or Egg-Salad. I love it! Greetz from Germany
Filipinoes enjoy toasted pan de sal with condensed milk spread on it :) We also like to put ice cream on pan de sal as an alternate option from the cone or cup
I work at 7-11 in Virginia,USA.and wish we could get these bread products to sell!! Love your channel and enjoy seeing the different food products..thank you!!
In April, I spent a week in Osaka in an apartment a few blocks from the Morinomiya station. In the station building, there is a little bakery where we had breakfast every morning. That was the only bakery I found (thought I am sure there are others) that actually had melon flavored melonpan (at least I'm assuming it was melon based on the taste; I can't read Japanese well enough to know for sure). The bread was a light green color, and you could taste the fruity flavor in it. It was amazing.
My favourite bread over in Japan is the melon bread with custard inside.... So so good.. the perfect breakfast with coffee... I'm lucky I only have to wait 6 weeks to be back in Tokyo and I'm going to try several breads you just showed us.. :) Thanks Guys!!
こんばんわ Brothers! I love when you boys do these types of Japanese bread videos! I was just talking to my cousin from Hawaii yesterday, about Japanese 7 Eleven stores-because he had just purchased a Manapua at his local 7 Eleven. Why? Oh why? Can we not have decent 7 Eleven’s out here? 😫 I just don’t get it! The only saving grace that we have in SoCal is “85 Degrees” Bakery. They have fluffy and sakkuto type breads, much like Japanese style breads. My favorites are the squid ink roll, choco bun, and Hokkaido cheese tart. ☺️ There appears to be an 85 Degrees up in San Francisco. Brother Shinichi, perhaps you can visit, and let us know if there’s much of a difference-if you have time? Thanks again for sharing boys! Out of all 12 breads that you tried, I would definitely pick the Kinako/Mochi.
Mindy's Mom I agree 100%! I wish our 7-11 Stores would have better offerings, bread included. There are 85 Degrees stores here. I have been to a fairly new one in my community, and it was really nice. I can't eat bread, so I had a fruit dessert with panna cotta at the bottom. It was really lovely. My friend had a pastry, though, and she really enjoyed it. I can't compared it against 7-11 in Japan, though. I agree with you - I would try the Kinako-Mochi bread, too! Sending hugs and love to you, sister.
I want to try all of those when I go to Japan this month! They all sound so tasty! I really wish Canadian 7-11 had such a good selection (and such good prices).
I love when you guys say “very reasonable” for a dollar and I’m just crying like LOL Japan prices are crazzzy, theyd make pastries for like 5.99 each in Canada and they’re not even as good quality as these omg
7-11 next to me has 3 Japanese breakfast breads: cream filled, matcha and something else ($1.99each). I saw it last night. Idk when I’ll try it. Good video. Have a great weekend ☮️💟🙂
I love sweetcorn on pizza! It makes it, I think. They all looked really good though. It'd be interesting to see you comparing the items from all the convenience stores.
Watching this video made me smile because I worked for the company that bakes most of the those breads.:) there are still lots of bread being produced but my favorite is the Matcha doughnut.:)
Your 7 Eleven store items look so good. I haven't been in an American one in years, but if they were like yours, I would be a frequent visitor! Like Satoshi, I am not a big bread fan but the variety you have is just amazing. The savory bread Shinichi chose was what I would like, but the Melon bread looked good, too!
My word Brothers, they all looked tasty. I love savory flavors and all of those seemed to be in my wheelhouse. Best looking savory would have to be the Pizza taste. The sweet would be the apple. It's Autumn guys, and Autumn means apples. Also bread in Mexico is also called pan and they have a melon pan that looks like the Japanese melon pan. I love all your convenience store hauls, the more the merrier. Love from Carolina. JC
I love Japanese bread! I've tried many of these, but I now I have some more I want to try the next time I go to Japan. I would like to see another video comparing a particular kind of bread (eg. melonpan, currypan) at 7-11, Lawson, Family Mart etc. Also, a video about various kinds of bread that are available at the typical bakeries that you can see in train stations would be nice too! :)
Just got home today. I gobbled up as much bread as possible while I was there. There's a combini out there owned by a bakery company (Forget the name) You folks should give it a try
Oohhh I'm in Texas and we have a Japanese grocery store that sells a lot of different pastries. I love to try all the different one, but no melon pan :( If anyone is wondering this mom Croquette recipe is amazing!!!! I made it and definitely adding it to my recipes.
Would love to see both the rest of the 7/11 breads, and the comparison of different konbini breads! Out of the ones you ate, that I've had from my Japanese markets here(I worked in a Japanese bakery, and we made nearly all the items you ate), the curry pan is my favorite. I LOVE Japanese curry, to the point that my friends think if you cut me, I'll bleed curry. XD I lived off curry pan in college, and I eat the curry manju as well. But I do definitely prefer the crispy curry pan.
I don't know why its so popular but I know about melon pan from Yakitate Japan. Since then I've been drooling to taste it. Since Family Mart came to Malaysia, I eat it almost every week :D
FamilyMart used to have a pancake similar to the maple but with banana filling... taste so much like a banana creme pie! Its so good, you need to try. I searched everywhere for it on my last trip and could no longer find it! :( Maybe a seasonal item?
i love how excited Satoshi is hahaha that arm movement in the beginning.
Those pancakes have convinced me to hop on a flight to Japan! Yum! Wish 7-11 had them in Korea!
I love that you guys took our advice and chose savory breads to offset the sweets. I'm a bread addict, so this was a joy. Thanks for the share guys!
Saland Findles I was just thinking about conchas too!
Right, I really can't know until I've tried them both.
"I don't know if it's because we're starving right now, but this is really good." lol I think we've all been in that same situation! I just adore you two! You always make me smile. :)
Corn on pizza is very common in my country too (Slovakia - Europe)! I loooove corn on pizza!
You guys make me so happy
Shinichi's reaction to Satoshi's enthusiasm in the beginning had me laughing my butt off.
Hi shinichi and satoshi. I just wanna let you guys know I love your videos. They always get me through my crappy days. Thank you! Much love from indonesia.
chikajimbum me too
Same!
I am biggest fan of TabiEats 👍👍 I love breads 😋😋
These all look so delicious, great for breakfast or something nice to eat late at night in your hotel room. Looking forward to tasting some of these when we visit Japan next year
Yes please keep making more convenience store episodes.....I like them a lot.
Absolutely love all your reviews. Your wonderful personalities come through and make everything entertaining. Plus, as someone looking to travel to Japan, it’s so informative. Well done on another wonderful clip guys.
You guys are my happy place. Thank you for being so positive. You’re a bright spot in my day.
FitAngie yeh that's why I have to go to Japan every year!!!!!
I totally agree the only thing good at Australian 7/11 is the slushys.
Hey fit angie I wish we had more variety in Australia also at 7 eleven
Everything in Japan is awesome
@@trulywingo5185 except their porn.
I often bought food for my diner at a Kombini during my Japanese vacation and just loved it. Great way to eat casual Japanese food too.
Interesting to see a condensed milk baguette. The syrup and margarine bread is fantastic. I have also had and loved the sakura-themed pancakes.
Love watching all your different food tasters especially as you show us foot items I have never ever seen in uk 🇬🇧 makes it so interesting 😁👍❤️
Haha foot Items -shh no one has noticed it’s not food 😂
I love the convenience store taste test videos! The curry bread looked amazing. Please do videos like this one for the other convenience stores.
Yes, please try more bread. I love bread. I really want to try the curry and baguette with condensed milk
In England we have Sweet corn on some of our Pizza's, may not be everyone favorite but it exists
I know this is going to sound weird, but one of the things i'm most looking forward to for my Tokyo visit is to vlog my way through all the convenience store foods (Lawson, Family Mart and 7-Eleven)! haha

I love Japanese bread. Softest most delicious things I ever had. I miss it so much 😍

The maple and butter pancakes are my favorite, I love them so much. I brought like 10 with me back on the plane.
I love watching you 2, so relaxing. You help me soo much
I’m glad you’re introducing yourselves more, I remember like a year ago when I first started watching it took me forever to figure out your names XD
Tip if crispy package croissants - oven 180C and reach temperature , place on a backing tray and before placing in the oven sprinkle a dash of water over them , 4-5 mins in the oven and done
That woohooo from Satoshi at the beginning of the video lol His enthusiasm is contagious!
The "tapuri tamago sando" at 7/11 was my go to every morning during my stay in Japan the last weeks....
Sooooo good, I miss it so much
I've never been to 7 eleven but my local bakeries and even stores that sell food have breads like that.
The chocolate marble bread was me and little sister's ultimate favourite treat to eat when we made our 7/11 pit stops in Japan!
Toast your croissant in a toaster oven. It refreshes it nicely. I have a Sanyo.
Love that chakichaki apple pastry. Yes, please show us more from 7-11 and also please do a comparison test among the different konbini. These videos are so entertaining!

the pancakes are the best! i've told all my family and friends who visit tokyo and everyone loves them. thanks for sharing!
I am so jealous of the convenient stores in japan.... Ugh america is lame. We need to get on board with the good stuff.
Same in uk
Kayci Hall Agreed
Were too stubborn too smh
Agree!
Kayci Hall just came back from Shinjuku Japan I love the 7/11 there, I had breakfast there every day, loved Japan going back next year!
Sweet corn on pizza and in sandwich fillings (especially tuna) is very common in the UK. :)

Yes such a great selection and the freshness shows. Your channel is still number 1 .

"Don't grow up it's a trap" .... my new favorite quote!
Omg Satoshi at the beginning, you just break my heart with your sincerity!

All the breads looked so yummy and delicious, much love.
It's so nice to see Satoshi-san letting loose in the videos nowadays!!
Yes! Try the other half. :) Love these conbini taste tests.
I get kinako and kinoko mixed up in my head a lot... it's a good thing I like both!

I tried a lot of those items when I traveled to Japan and loved them all! Now I want a 7/11 here in Spain 🤤
Please, try the other half of the items and make more videos for Lawson and Family Mart! 🙏🙏🙏
Your 7 Eleven store items look so good. I haven't been in an American one in years, but if they were like yours, I would be a frequent visitor! Have I mentioned yet that I love it when Satoshi has his queen moments?

Really enjoyed this video. I would love to see more like this. Doesn't have to be connivence stores, perhaps a few bakeries?
今もあるのかわからないけど、セブンのお好み焼きそばパンはもちもちしていてボリュームもあって凄く気に入っていました☺️
コンビニパンの総合的な満足度はセブンが断トツな気がします。
7-11 had all the best stuff! The soft egg onigiri is amazing
Try other items from 7-11 Stores, that would be interesting. Also the other convenience stores. Thanks for another great video.
The mushroom bacon and chesse bread is mouth watering yummy yum
