I have 2 columns, date column, and a description column (which summarises the information released). How could I best use excel to present this data?

Or the same quarter, or month, but different years so that you can do a year over
year comparison...

You can use a Filter for that. The Timeline will not let you do that.

Cool feature but the timeline is too limited (can't include the information ON the timeline itself). Thx!
