Lol the cardinals haven’t played great against the brewers. The brewers flat out can’t hit right now. Basically are playing with 3 pitchers in the lineup at all times. Yelich and JBJ have been probably the worst 2 hitters in the league this year plus the actual pitcher in the lineup kinda hard to score when you have 3 “guaranteed” outs

I was worried about it when he made the move. Scares me putting the winning run in scoring position, and the tying run in position to score on a walk, but he trusted in Gio and was rewarded for it.
Usually ten wins in a row sees a team play great defense and do all the little things right. Pitching must be great as well. The Cards are doing all of this during this streak. Speaking as a huge Brewers fan who saw my team win ten in a row earlier, tonight's game should've been a Brew Crew win walk off in the ninth. But the Cards made a gutsy call to walk Yellich and get the aggressive Reyes out swinging. Good luck to what's looking like two NL Central playoff teams.
I am so surprised and happy the Cards are playing great and have won 10 in a row. Most of the year they reminded me of one of those .500 teams of the 1970s. Blown games in the 9th inning were also momentum killers and the 9th inning of this game was some type of drama. This was just a good ballgame between 2 very good teams and the Milwaukee pitcher was also great. Good thing they now have instant replay reviews. When the umpire called the Milwaukee runner out at first base when he was obviously safe it reminded me of the missed call at first base in the 1985 world series with the Royals made by Denkinger. Before this streak started I realized how the 5 man rotation was now Wainright, Woodford, Lester, Happ, and Mikolas with Flaherty likely out for the year. I just did not see this happening.
Man as amazing as this run is becoming, I'm going to stay realistic and if I was the coach, I'd say forget thinking about the playoffs and World series and all that. I would stress heavily to strictly take it one game at a time. Dont look ahead. I'm sure that's probably their philosophy though in general, but that's what I'm trying to do as a fan and just enjoy the ride. Having said all that, still can't help but feel like this could be a special year again. Seems like we make it deep into the postseason every few years so yeah we might be overdue.

Even if the state drops charges he will likely be suspended by the league for some amount of time based on what the police report said.
