    Adam Waiwright is FORTY and still one of the best pitchers in baseball. His doesn't have the filthiest pitches anymore but his ability to command the strike zone and execute pitches is amazing.

      @@lazym91 He's going to finish top 3 in Cy Young voting. If that's not top ten I don't know what is. He's not top 10 in terms of players you want long term or top 10 in best pitches but on the mound over 7+ innings he certainly is. Saying he's just "alright" is totally absurd.

      @@lazym91 it's Scherzer Buehler and Wainwright. Burnes will not even finish top 5, look up the stats. We're not at the first half of the season anymore. Regardless, your argument that Wainwright is just "alright" is totally absurd. It cannot be argued that he is not at least top 5 in the NL.

    Tyler O"Neill demonstrated why you don't get yourself kicked out for arguing with the umpire. He was the victim of two horrendous called third strikes, but kept his composure and stayed in the game to hit the game winning HR.

      Who cares? Umps making slightly bad calls is part of the game. Protect the plate in that situation. I learned that when I was 7.

    • @grantreill1966
      @grantreill1966 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      He wasn't even that consistent, too. There were a bunch of pitches that he arbitrarily decided weren't strikes even though they were in the zone he established. Highlights show the worst outside calls, but they don't show the ones that he decided weren't good enough. Must have been frustrating for batter and pitcher alike.

    Woah, so much to say for this game! O'Neill with another late inning blast, this time filled with redemption. Man, the strike zone was everywhere today. So sad that Waino won't get his 2000th strikeout at Busch, though. All this being done on the 10 year, 2011 World Series reunion!
