You added the plant and Driftwood with the little bit of bacteria on and then added water with chlorine killing the bacteria. Unlike cherry, ghost shrimp don't produce shrimplets but larvae. The larvae require brackish water to grow out into an adult before being able to live in freshwater. Please like so that Nick could see.
You're thinking about brine shrimp, ghost shrimp and cherry shrimp are pretty much the same, and ghost shrimp don't produce larvae, the produce eggs that contain shrimplets.

He’s wasting a tremendous amount of money by buying everything how/ where he did as well as the fact that he will probably have little to no success with any eggs actually producing with the filter he got. Ghost shrimp are also very sensitive to their environment so by him not cycling the tank, that’s going to put a ton of stress on them and the pregnant ones probably won’t do too great.
Hi Nick, I am going to agree with some of the other posters that you may be better off getting a sponge filter for the shirmp tank. Shrimp are grazers and enjoy picking over algae and something called biofilm which grows on decaying plant matter and the surface of sponge filters. See if the pet store has almond leaves and put a couple in the tank and you will see the shrimp love to feed on them. You are also going to need more plants, two of the best for shrimp are Java moss and Guppy Grass, as they provide a lot of hiding places and feeding surfaces for baby shrimp. There are a ton of channels on shrimp care and I am sure you can find them yourself. Good Luck!
When they say “live wood” they are saying it’s cycled media. You can have an aquarium set up same day and have it stocked if you’re using “live” already cycled media. Doesn’t mean the wood is actually alive.
Im curious to know how much die off you had. You are supposed to drip acclimate shrimp to prevent death. These shrimp are very sensitive to change in water quality. Is there a tank update video?
Sadly, I didn't drip acclimate them when I first started. i didn't know it was required until I searched up "Why are my shrimp dying" and it said something about drip acclimating. Now thankfully, I only had 3 shrimp and yeah. So yeah, I put 3 in there, keep in mind I didn't drip acc them, I had 3... then sadly one passed. But other than that one, the other 2 were doing just perfect! they were molting etc. Now I've done a lot of research and I'm now starting a shrimp breeding tank.
You can put some salt and they will be fine. It good to add some salt to fresh water tanks especially if they are sickly. Salt helps fish heal. In your case the shrimp eggs and babies need it. For the fry you need liquid food made for shrimp fry and the salt of course.. hope this helps

You said you had all these fancy fish and you don't even cycle? Also ghost shrimp need brackish water to breed. And you should know better than to set up the tank and stock it on the same day.
I've been a shrimp keeper for half a year and belong to a lot of neocaridina groups on Facebook. I can tell you that you rushed into buying shrimp and didn't do much research. The tank needs to be prepped for several months before you even put the shrimp in or else you will find that a lot of them will start to die off fast, you should of listened to your instinct about the sponge filter because those babies will not be strong enough to fight the current and will get sucked up the filter, and I will suggest to never ever put "ghost" shrimp with neocaridina or cardinia. Most pet stores call them that but in fact are whisker shrimp and they will kill everything.. Please don't misinform followers who look up to your videos and think everything you say is right. They might just be shrimps but u also have to test the pH, temp, ammonia, nitrate, and tds, gh, & kh.. Not hard you just have to research a lot
