Hi, I had a query to cdmp support regarding the open book meaning of the exam and they had replied as follows.
My query:
I am confused about the open book meaning of the CDMP exam - I would like to use pdf version of DMBOK 2. Pls help me if the below approach is correct:
1. Have 1 laptop for giving the exam and have a 2nd laptop with the DMBOK 2 pdf book.
2. In addition to above, am I also allowed to keep some printed/ handwritten paper notes?
Their response:
Yes, this is correct. The PDF version of the DMBoK should be opened in a separate device 2nd laptop or tablet.
Yes, you can keep your personal notes as well.
Who is "they"? I don't think that's right.
So basis this i understand we can keep personal printed/ handwritten notes as well. But in your video you had mentioned that's not allowed and if we are using pdf CDMP book then we can only append pdf notes to the book.
What is the correct approach here?
From the FAQs (cdmp.info/faqs/), "Students are permitted to have a text book or notes, but not both. The ‘one book’ may be in hardcopy or digital form, but not both."
