New piston and sleeve about time for a use one
After all I am pretty happy that I didnt buy a Nova, eventhough I thought they are nice. I think it speaks for itself when you buy 2 engines and having trouble with both. Sorry mate. Luckily I dont have such problems.
p.s. i dont think that the big amount of compression on the b3 is normal. I dont have it either but the power with mine is awesome :)
People who were born after the 90’s can’t even dream up or fathom how real men built and serviced engines and all that jazzz
Today kids think revving the heck out of cracked piston rings will fix a tired engine lol
love the s workz mate.. sorry i havent been about, i been in a mental hospital for a month :/
Back in the day ,we didnt give a fek about destroying a engine just as long as we had fun
an caught it on vid ,we turned & burned them an just bought another!..🤣😂
Now these days you got these almighty gear heads that treats their stuff like fragile glass!
I have an older vid about those fun days!
Awesome vid ,thats why I like your content!..💯👍👊
You can put a flat plastic through the exhaust port and than slow go in with a flat screwdr
Good videos mate 👍
10min.... Throws glow plug.. glow plug hits the fence... Bounces back.... Lands in Haggards bag 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 it just never wants to leave me
That is a very nice buggy, thanks for sharing 👍🏻
your channel has helped me so much. but just going off of your words i would say that you need to start practicing the top dead center method after you run your engines and start using after run oil after every use. Not using that top dead center method has to be be doing something improper to it. But that's just my huge guess. any ways still a great learning video my friend👊🏾👊🏾
With these higher compression engines I do keep them away from TDC, they’re hand made and have much better quality to them so best to look after them.
Other mass produced ones I don’t bother lol.
was talking to a 20 year seasoned ic car enthusiast the other day and he said hes never used after run oil in his whole 20 years of racing r/c cars. He said if you wanna lube the cylnder or the carb give it little 25% nitro just a drop from an inkjet cartridge syringe so it doesnt gel.
AHH man honestly your videos are class. I love how you just don't give a feck. I always use these same methods like wee all did growing up. Anyone saying different are either lying or just snobs hehe. Keep making videos dude.
Nova engines are awesome . Just need looking after
Heat up the Piston sleeve with some heat
I’ve got them same needle pliers as ur red set there!!! Always pinch my fingers on the back side!!😜😆 BTW love the answer shirts ya been sporting!!! 🤙🏼 keep spitting oil my friend!!!👍🏼
Haha yeah man I had one before and it shrunk in the wash so I bought two more recently because my Mrs was moaning about the holes in my current T-Shirts 😂 one of them had already shrunk though (the one I was wearing in this video) me and T-Shirts don’t go well lol!
@@HaggardRC Aaaa!! Holy shirts are the best!!🤙🏼 free ac!!!😁 waiting on a HPI MT2 from eBay. Just getting back into nitro. I got 30 electric models tho!!😜👍🏼👊🏼
hi bud, good content i watch them all usually, the only thing i ever disagree heating the engines up time and time again. i have never ever had to use any heat on a nitro and it make a difference lol odd case if its freezing temps etc might help but we don't need heat its warm in the uk :)
You’re right, but I paid money for that engine heater so I’m gonna use it to get my moneys worth.
However, high compression engines designed for racing will need warming up before starting. They’re too tight otherwise.
Normal engines will start fine at ambient temps 🙂
@@HaggardRC defo need heat here in Northants in January, heating jacket is the best little investment Ive ever bought for breaking in new engines in very cold winter temps.
I've got a favourite myself , I actually love my ansmann terrier 2.0 , although it likes to chew through clutch shoes , it's a wicked nitro for a dirt track and control
Man this engine has been a pain in your butt
Nice video mate. Sorry you got 2👍up. One the first eve watching from my Tv and one from my channel watching yiur video again. 🔥👍always. Wish yiu and your family the best . 😎🤘. At least yiur channel is alot like mine. Love the no BS channel. We have great nitro days snd then somedays csn have us wrenching and replacing parts before we burn the fossile fuel.😂😂bike riders on road woooo
You seen it produced a lot of jelly from out of your stuff the only thing missing is a slice of bread
Jelly on bread? Haha never had that before but I’m up for trying new things 🤷🏻♂️
Ise a cable tie to get sleeve out . Allso never take your plug out without having your car on its side. Thats how u ended up with a scored piston
The piston is scored because the C clip came out. It was a common problem with the early B3.
@@HaggardRC that would deffo make sense
HaG conrod ❓❓i wouldn't let you work on my Legos.amazing entertainment tho 😂🤣🤣👊👊
I wouldn’t want to work on Lego I’m sick of it lmao, buy it for the kids and end up having to build it myself 🤣🤣 then they play with it and smash it to bits and say (can you build it again please?) 🤦🏻♂️
@@HaggardRC HaG I stepped on them in the past and they're not allowed in my house 😂😂. I think rear bearing started coming apart and caused it to mess up with ya Bro 👊 man I hate that such a Nice Engine. I want 1 so bad 👊👊
Get ya self a 7ah 12v lead acid in bump box if u find older type u can power ya engine heater and glow starter of it cud proble charge reciver pack of it aswell with voltage converter only have to charge 1 battery then was a game changer for me 👍
That starter box is 7A 12V
You should loosen the glowplug a bit
Thats a posative idea, it does work sometimes.
mmm mabe the clip that holds the wrist pin came out ?
That’s the common problem, I think you’re right.
Nice bud
Thanks mate!
I've got similar issue with a picco 😭
Have you any videos dude on how to set height of stater box too flywheel for optimal starting?
My box just bogs when I push down 😭
Make sure the wheel isn’t rubbing on the chassis dude
Hay dude I hope you get it sorted soon! New sleeve now?
It’ll want a piston and liner, I’ll put it away for next year now unless I can get hold of them.
I want one of them spoiler stickers that looks soooooooo good man, why i never thought of slitting one big sticker ill never knw.... did you make a vid on it hag? The colours jus what mines is missin, looks the dog's 🌰
Hmmm no I never did any video about it I just stuck it on lol
@HaggardRC well I think its a class idea an have never seen it b4, nice man
Sounds the engine need maintenance
Where do you buy that from?
@@HaggardRCyou mean you haven't changed the oil and gapped the spark plugs. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@mattphilip4595 I changed it with 15-40 I thought it would be alright but do you think that’s the problem?
@@HaggardRC it's the fully synthetic that did it. You needed to go full dinosaur mode.
Allso that piston and sleeve is fucked mate
It wasn’t bad but worth changing, I was surprised how long it lasted before the clip came out to be fair lol. Some people had them come out on the first run 🤣
@HaggardRC I ran this engine when it first came out and it was decent tbf. Got a season out of it and have had two more since I love them . Thing is coz there reasonably cheep for a race engine it doesn't make much sense to repair them as its not far off the price of a new engine
@HaggardRC I'm sure pete will sort something out
