Great idea, especially at a time like this when there is panic buying and bread shortages. I wish I'd seen this before I bought my breadmaking machine.
Your bread machine is still a good investment, as long as it doesn’t end up at the back of a cupboard. She does say (according to the translation) that the flour has salt in it, which makes it 3 ingredients, and tbh a good loaf of bread only requires 4, flour, water, salt, yeast. You don’t need to add any of the sugar and fats that many bread making recipes list. For a small white loaf in your machine: 400g of strong white bread flour, 260g of water, 8g salt, one sachet (7g) of dried yeast. Set to it’s basic white bread recipe and remove when baked, around 3-4 hours, depending on machine. The ingredients take about a minute to weigh and then you just push the start button to get a loaf a few hours later. If your machine has a delayed start timer, then it’s even more useful. Nothing wrong with her quick bread, but it is a quite different type of bread to a standard yeasted type.

Gluten free version! I made these this morning. I used what I had and made a half batch using Pamela's gluten free baking and pancake mix and Nancy's nonfat vanilla yogurt. I was amazed at how well they turned out! They were yummy with just butter or with the sausage links my husband made. I can imagine they would make a great dinner roll like she said!
Yes the northern Irish make ,soda farls this way, instead of yoghurt, vinegar in a glass of milk, or buttermilk , if you only have plain flour you must add bicarbonate of soda to the flour, thanks I will try your way🇮🇪🧸🧸
Yes you are bang on, very similar to soda farls main difference is coating the pan with oil whereas in Northern Ireland we sprinkle flour in pan and dry fry, great recipe and very easy to make a keeper for sure, many thanks to the poster.
Maggie May Yes but you would have to add vinegar to replace the acid in yogurt (the bubbles / holes in the bread come from the baking soda in the flour combining with the acid of the yogurt)
Yes, in the captioning, it did say 2 cups self-rising flour (has baking powder already added) but you can use unbleached and add a heaping teaspoon of baking powder per cup flour, with a pinch of salt. I guessed that the yogurt was one cup. I used 1 cup plain whole milk yogurt, since I did not have Greek yogurt, and they came out pretty good! They did not have the larger yeast bubble holes like true yeast English muffins, but were very good warm with butter and/or jam.

No tenía la harina leudante pero la hice según las instrucciones que pusiste en los comentarios. Muchísimas gracias por esta maravillosa receta.
They look like soft English muffins
How much flour did she use?
@@deannawarner8876 2 cups but it has baking powder and salt already in the flower. Not sure if it's available like that everywhere. :) I love English muffins! That exactly what this seems to be!
@@BarbaraPryor-Smith If you buy the self rising flour that kind have the salt baking powder b& whatever else it needs for baking so we just have to sift the 2 cups and add the yogurt ...God Bless .. SELF RISING FLOUR ...
@@BarbaraPryor-Smith that is just self raising flour. It is made with baking powder and baking soda (salt).
My thoughts exactly 🤤

Un placer!
Te felicito muy bien me encanta tu estilo saludos de Perú

Me encanta como disfrutas de tus comidas gracias por tus recetas fabulosas
Yes the northern Irish make ,soda farls this way, instead of yoghurt, vinegar in a glass of milk, or buttermilk , if you only have plain flour you must add bicarbonate of soda to the flour, thanks I will try your way🇮🇪🧸🧸
Do you think I can substitute for plant based milk. Allergic to lacto products!
santa mulligan thank you because I do not drink milk. Not good for my stomack
Yes you are bang on, very similar to soda farls main difference is coating the pan with oil whereas in Northern Ireland we sprinkle flour in pan and dry fry, great recipe and very easy to make a keeper for sure, many thanks to the poster.
Stephenrobertboyd Boyd haha look forward to your video chef

Yes but you would have to add vinegar to replace the acid in yogurt (the bubbles / holes in the bread come from the baking soda in the flour combining with the acid of the yogurt)
Such a soothing voice. Got to try this bread recipe.
Made them today: very good! Almost like an English muffin.
Must try them!
Was it 2 cups of flour. They do look like English muffins.
How long do they stay fresh and should you refrigerate them after they've been cooked?
@@private3649 I did refrigerate them, and, although best hot and fresh, were still good split and warmed in the toaster even a week later.
Una receta practica y sencilla, la felicito por dar esta ayuda

@@sandracasagrande3825 Hola. Mira las explicaciones de Mary C.
How much flour did you use?
@@laragreene8328 You make this recipe with 2 cups of Self rising flour. If you have regular flour then you will use 2 cups of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt 😊
@@sandracasagrande3825
Ingredients:
Two 8 ounce containers of plain Greek yogurt
2 Cups of self rising flour
(self rising flour already contains salt, baking soda/ baking powder)
In a bowl add the two yogurts then heat the yogurt for 1 minute in the microwave or on the stovetop
Sift in the flour
Inside bowl make dough into a big ball with your hands
Sprinkle flour on table and knead dough with your hands
Divide dough into 6 pieces and shape into balls add a little flour to your hands to make it easier to shape them
Flatten the balls until they are
1 centimeter in thickness
Let them rest for 10-15 minutes
Heat frying pan on low heat
Spread a little oil into the pan
Put the rolls in the pan 4 at a time
Cover them with the lid and cook for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes flip the rolls on the other side and cover with the lid and continue to cook for an additional 10 minutes (remember the fire has to be low)
Remove the lid and let rolls dry for 1 minute per side.
Remove from the pan and let rest for 15 minutes so it can continue to cook. Then it's ready to eat 😊
Gracias Esbieta por esta rica receta!! Ayer hice los panecillos rápidos con harina 100% integral y quedaron deliciosos, mi familia feliz! Bendiciones y saludos desde la Argentina :)
