@@cortstew it does, it seems like a proper fit. The SAR gets slept on but it’s one of only two types of akm patterned rifles to be brought into the country on an actual military receiver. These are becoming legendary among people in the know.
@@Greystone42 I completely agree, I was fortunate to get this rifle very cheap at a gun show, the previous owner had welded a Cobray 37 mm flare launcher to it. very silly package!
The WASR series would not be imported or produced until 2004. However, many early WASRs were made from old PM 63 rifles. So the trunnion and barrel can be marked anywhere from 1963 to the mid 1980s but the receiver will be made after 2004. Its kinda confusing and by the mid 2010s all WASRs would be marked correctly
your serial number on the left hand side of the rifle will end with -XX indicating production year, so mine is 51-XXXXX-99. So a 2000 would read 51-XXXXX-00 so on and so forth. I'm not sure if they continued this with the WASR rifles but I really like that they did it on the SAR 1s. Your bolt carrier and dust cover will only show the middle 5 numbers.
Simple, to the point, and only shirtless when needed. Stay classy!
Keep 'em coming.
Thank you! Georgia is very hot so sometimes being shirtless is required (at least for me lol)
The SAR-1 is amazing. I’ve had the barrel threaded on mine and plan on replacing the gas block for one with a bayonet lug.
That would be pretty badass! one of these would look great with one of those classic Bakelite grip bayonets :)
Love my sar1 even threw some surplus md63 furniture on it
I bet that looks great on it!

F91w 😍
yes, the greatest watch in the world! I have been wearing mine everyday for 4 years! It's a super under rated piece of military kit.
Thanks for the lesson. Should you ever get your hands on one, you should review the Hi-Point YC9 "Yeet Cannon"
@@westleysermon5955 I have heard very good things about the yeet cannon, perhaps I might try to acquire one for a future video.
Wasr was the first not the sar.
