For some reason when I listen to one person talk for long enough I start thinking in their voice for a bit, so I just ended up with "I was getting hungry faster than anticipated, so I heated up some chicken strips. That means we don't have any more chicken strips left, but oh well, I'll worry about that later" in your voice. I'm only an hour into the video so far...
Fun fact: this means the run time for all 3 videos is about 1.23% of the total play time for seablock. So if you want to get a feel for how long real life hours dosh spent just on the playthrough, watch all three videos 83 times. (Estimate does not include video editing, script writing and editing, audio recording and editing, and whatever nonsense you have to do to actually upload and publish.) Edit: 83 not 20. I do all the math to figure out the % of the actual run we've seen, but derp it when dividing 100 by 1.23
@@mehmarcus1995 It's not actually SeaBlock's fault, exactly. It's built on two other mods, Bob's Mods and Angel's Mods, popular "Vanilla+" mod packs that just add a ton of extra materials and complexity to production chains. Now, *normally* you can mine most of this out of the ground and stuff like slag and mineral sludge is an undesired by-product of your refining operations you need to do something with, and you're rewarded with a trickle of resource feedback. However, KiwiHawk the mad lad realized that since you can technically get the byproducts from dead-end water processing, seablock was theoretically possible. So the main reason it's so complicated is because it forces you into the single most inefficient method of acquiring raw materials, one that requires several extra steps to get anything workable out of it.
I am watching this with subtitles on, and they are perfect. They are exactly what he says, not misspelled, has ** around some words that Dosh says in a certain tone, they wait for him to talk, and they have an extra blank line when Dosh stops talking for several seconds and the next text is shown. While fascinating, I personally prefer the more vanilla based challenges. At the end of the day, if you aren't intimately familiar with these mods already it's nigh on impossible to keep up with that's happening. Still holding out hope for Rampant 2.0
This was a really fun video to watch. I completed Sea Block with a friend this week, so I finally could watch the final video. It was very validating to see you having struggles with some of the same things I struggled with. This was my first playthrough of Factorio, and I learned how to work with circuits for making sure the crystal builds was all balanced...and I needed to amend it several times. I also added some requester chests in the blueprints to automatically kickstart the sludge and sulfuric acid builds with requester chests. In any case, it was a marvel to see you do it here...and with a lot less spaghetti xD Have a wonderful day!
Congratulation on beating Sea Block, and what an amazing end result. It's so compact! I like how you could have simply dedicated more resources to landfill for a while, but dedicated the building style of maximum density to the bit. Ahaa. But seriously, it's so impressive how much work go into making those mega factories in overhauled Factorio and how many hours it still take. You're a real champ!

god i love your videos!!
my favorites are the video essay/game review things, but these factorio videos are amazing
i love how you glaze over the details of the builds in this compressed format
i am INCREDIBELY ANNOYED this video is not 10 hours long
Really are on my like 17th watch of this year. God speed to you and the beans for giving me the strength I need to continue throughout the shitty times. Heres to another 17 more and my own baby bean plant on my world i play an hour a day. Its a pleasure looking forward to your content.
Bean moment
More Sea for the Seablock, More Trains for the Train Gods!
Also, would you mind doing a more combat oriented mod/modpack next?
maybe he could go and beat the game with the rampant mod under the same kind of settings as last time?
More Beans for the Bean Gods.

I'm thinking Warptorio instead.
hes already done rampant + deathworld and it was pure chaos
3kSPM without trains also go to the gods"
Re-watched this trio of videos about a half dozen times now, I love seeing this base from the map view. Seriously intimidating and beautifully done
I would 100% watch the complete uncut footage of this playthrough. Time for a second channel? 😀
Ye would be nice😅
A uncut playthrough of over 100 hours gameplay
@@fluewZ300* hours
@flalspspsl6858 not all at once :)
Yeah just make sure you take notes of where you left off. Lmao.
This guy is unaffected by the ever present constraints of time.
"WHY ARE WE HERE? JUST TO SUFFER? NO ITS FOR THE BEANS BEEEANS"

After 3 hours of constant bean consumption, this episode is THE gassy reckoning of too many fart sounds🥴
Incredible video, your way of building is truly awesome and it's inspiring me for my own bases but less complicated, at only 400h i'm not as experienced
"I used to have a life... now I has a factory."
-Dosh, probably
But seriously this scratches my Factorio itch I get every once in a while. Knowing I can watch someone else suff... enjoy themselves playing the game is wonderful.
I started rewatching the whole factorio playlist having been itching for the seablock finale and I'm so happy I did cause it timed out to finishing the playlist just after this came out. Seriously the most impressive and amazing factory out there. Congrats on all your hard work and insanely beautiful base.
this isn't factorio. this was made by a chem teacher to trick you into doing chem.
Holy frigging shit!
12 hour night shift and ive watched space and sea series and im bloody dumbfounded!
im in complete awe in how you did this plus the sheer amount of time to build let alone edit these series!
you certainly deserve more than the 235k subscribers you got!
thanks for this awesome video dosh, its a masterpiece of art
i just got one more question, you don't happen to stream all your process so one can see an uncut version of you woprking on this? im shure a lot of people would love to watch this and lean from you
Thank you so much for the captions. They're so helpful and well done.
But thank you more for the hundreds of hours you put into escaping an alien planet on the power of beans alone. This was amazing. That base is a work of art and absolutely deserves to be a poster on the wall.
In any case, it was a marvel to see you do it here...and with a lot less spaghetti xD
Have a wonderful day!
Mister Beaaaaannss~~. EDIT: The more i watch. The more this mod and episode feels like an descend into Madness. Trains, crazy belts. Rants and Farts
This series has done two things to me.
1: make me god affraid of those overhaul mods
2: Inspire me to finnaly try the city-block style factory, and I'm having so much fun with it!
Thanks mate, love your videos
Amazing work, I cried for six hours after the video ended. Truly some life changing stuff you’ve done here. I’m getting a mural of your base painted on the side of my house in your honor.
You must have a big ass house😳😳😳
WOW subtitles for the entire video, thank you so much for this!
mate, I'm not even halfway through the video and I'm beyond bewildered. You really bring factorio to the next level. this is top rated content. thanks.
