  • The Amankila Bali may be Bali’s best luxury resort, in part II of our Bali’s best hotels & resorts series, we'll give you a tour and review of this Aman Hotels Group resort. Our Bali 10 best hotels had to be cut down to 8 because we tried some others that were disappointing - we only recommend what we've tried and love. From the stunning views to the top-notch amenities and service, we've got all the info on what to expect at the Amankila Bali. And as much as we like the Amankila - no place is perfect - so we’ll be upfront and honest about the slight imperfection here.
Check out The Swank Guide's Bali E-book (table of contents below), here's the link: swankguide.com/bali-ebook

We'll share our candid and uncensored opinions so that you can see if this hotel is the right place for you.
The Amankila Bali is located on the east coast of Bali and has 34 private villas that are just gorgeous. The villas are set in lush gardens and surrounded by the stunning waters of the Lombok Strait. Each villa has amazing views of the ocean and the resort's three-tiered infinity pool. The resort's architecture, inspired by traditional Balinese buildings, is a mix of contemporary luxury and Indonesian charm.
While the villas are seriously impressive, there's also plenty to do at the Amankila Bali. From snorkeling and diving to yoga and spa treatments, you'll never be bored. The resort also has a bunch of dining options, including the fancy Amandari restaurant, which serves up a variety of international and local dishes. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway or a family vacay, the Amankila Bali is the perfect spot.

Thank you for this video. I love Aman hotels. Does the beach below have plastic in it? I rread some of the reviews from angry visitors. $300 for a grey shirt.😆 Do you like Soori vs Amankila? I never made it south hwen I was in Bali.

I like the Soori better.... as i said in the vid the Aman seems tired plus the oil tankers. Beah at Aman very clean b/c they have people cleaning it all day - if they didnt it would look horrible fast

Thanks for the amazing video. If you had to pick between the Amankila and the COMO Shambhala (also an amazing video btw) which would you choose? Also, which hotel/resort was your absolute favorite in all of Bali?
I was considering the Four Seasons in Sayan as well. Would greatly appreciate your insights and recommendations. You are a seasoned traveler and I value your advice. Thank you

Thanks - I really appreciate your comments. To be honest I was a bit disappointed w the Aman - I've stayed at other Amans that were better - like I said in the vid - the rooms are dated and all the oil tankers kinda spoil the view. Assuming you want some beach and hill time - for beach i'd go w the Soori or Alila in Uluwatu - the Alila is more lively - the Soori quieter - and there's more to do in Uluwatu - both great hotels if you love good design. But that's not what you asked - so yes the Como S over the Aman. I've not been to the 4 Seaon's in Ubdu but the pics look wonderful - I try not to do 4 Season's just b/c you kinda know what you are gonna get there - but you know it's gonna be nice. Last comment is the Uma Ubud is also a wonderful choice if you want to be in town. Good luck

It's not exploitative, if any the people there are showing the traditional cultures while getting paid. It's a win for both the show guys and girls and the Aman.

Anyone that uses the word "bougie" regarding an Aman resort has absolutely NO business rating anything high end....tha last thing Aman resorts are is Bougie.....and if you actually knew the meaning if the word it is miss used as Bourgeois actually mean middle class...or is meant to mean classless......get with it....

i like the example given from the Urban dictionary ""What kind of chips are those?"
"Organic Parmesan Oregeno with Olive Oil, they're 4 dollars a bag"
"Man those are bougie chips". But I'll try to get with it...
