Alexander Arutunian: Concerto for Trumpet and Piano

Written originally in 1950 for orchestra and solo trumpet by Armenian composer Alexander Arutunian , the work was quickly assimilated into the standard trumpet repertoire and continues as a "virtuoso showpiece," now for trumpet and piano as well. This performance was recorded at Bethel Lutheran Church with Layton B. "Skip" James at the Baldwin piano and Mel Olson on trumpet.
