Madden 16 was horrible once it came to deep routes. Do a go route, throw the ball up, press triangle or Y while it’s in the air and snag the damn ball. It was annoying. Especially against players such as Odell, Julio, Brown, etc. Sometimes they’d one hand it. In Madden 17 it felt like nobody could score. It was always low scoring ass games and it was damn near impossible to pass the 30 point mark. Madden 18 had a glitch where the ball would tip high as shit in the air then it would get intercepted. What also annoyed me was the fact that cornerbacks and safeties would bait you and literally go from one spot to another in a heart beat. Now in Madden 19 it’s just too many interceptions. EA needs to get their shit together.

What I mean is throw a medium PA pass on first down and then short pass on second, keep the defence from knowing where youre going with the ball... Also I found listening to music while playing helps, keeps your mind off of the game and being too focused... Best of luck dawg

geno816 yeah the passing got extremely hard out of nowhere. In 17 I could go 28-35 for like 450 yards easy but in 19 I’ve gotta throw the ball like 60 times just to even eclipse it. A lot of bad animations, receivers can’t catch in traffic, and the fact that the defense has a billion interception and pass defense animations now. I don’t mind them making it more realistic but it seems almost impossible to throw now.
I think I know it might not make to much sense but try more balance my fault was the same as urs just spreading the offense way to much u need more counters PAs screens etc.
I had/have a Raiders created QB franchise in which I went 6 straight seasons with 20+ Ints and did my damnedest to beat Brett Farve's record. I finished with 365 Ints in 20 Seasons. Favre had 386 I think.
Upfront, I'm not the best madden player and have been playing a modded Madden 08 for the last 10yrs. Madden 19 passing to me, is horrible for one reason. The QB does this little bunny hop 2 step drop and I don't get control over him till this animation is done. This issue causes me too many sacks and I don't know how to get past it. I remember real life QB's saying they have like 4 seconds to drop back, make a read and get rid of the ball. Well the Madden FORCED, 2 step drop animation leaves me less than that to get rid of the ball. I keep feeling I should be able to have control of the QB immediately upon snap of the ball. However this is just not the case.
I hate it dude and u gotta have bare min 8full second to just snap the ball that's if u obsessively click the damn button because of all the games animation bullshit it's pissin me off

Rafael Barboza Madden has turned into “I can only do slants and shallow crosses and very rarely a dig route..” no more can you “scan the field” and hit a guy unless he’s just WIIIIIDE open by 5-10 yards. The corners break on the ball incredibly fast and the safety’s come head hunting right when you click that button. Throwing 10-15 yards down the field is you just begging for an INT.. I even put 99 accuracy and it still happens. Maybe just because I’m on All Madden but shit even on Pro I got picked 2-3 times per game..

So I have been having trouble with receivers not even attempting to catch the ball. It is beyond annoying that my pass bounces off AJ Green or Tyler Eifert or sailing right past them.
Chris Wooster FINALLY someone else who has this problem. Does it bounce off their head/back/shoulders and then cause them to do a stupid animation where it looks like they tried to catch it? This happens to me at least 5 times a game and seemingly always when I need the play the most. One game it was 8 of my 10 incompletions I threw. Very annoying
I had this problem early on with M19 as well. I started using the aggressive catch button which is the triangle button for the PS4. If you press this button while the ball is still traveling to the receiver the he will do whatever is necessary to catch the football. If he has to jump he’ll jump. If he has to one hand it he’ll do that and so on. Using this feature will increase the receiver’s chance of catching the football by a significant amount. As for the errant passes by the quarterback. When throwing the football in M19 you have to be aware of how much pressure you’re using to press the button for whatever passing icon you choose. You have to literally play with the buttons and practice each type of throw you’ll be using in an actual game. It also helps if you move out of the pocket in the direction of the receiver you’re waiting on to uncover. Along with max protection this will prevent you from having to throw the ball before you’re ready to. Once I made these adjustments my passing game took off. I hope this helps you as well.
I’m not sure if you can answer this question yet, but do you know if the sleeve options and sock options have been fixed for relocated teams in madden 19. I know it’s a small thing but drives me crazy that’s it’s not available.
My issue with passing against user defenders has to do with how slow the ball travels than the actual throw itself. I feel that the playing surface isn't wide enough and that the defense doesn't have to work as hard because they are close to the receivers and tight ends on most plays when they are not being slowed down to defend. Also, there is much cheating on defense when you throw passes whereby corners and safeties peel off from the guy they are defending to intercept or knock the ball down. In the real game that's difficult to do because of the speed of the game.
I gave up on madden 18 because it was painfully awful. I have been playing madden 17, using Atlanta. Matt Ryan isn't that bad. On defense, defenders will sometimes play hopscotch, one slight movement to right or left without going anywhere and bam, turnover! The madden game is indeed a lazy one!
How do you get jump balls to trigger? Because I have Hopkins in EA Access and every time I try to give him a jump ball he doesn’t get the animation of going up and it’s picked every time.

I've learned to look at multiple receivers, move with them... The thing I struggle with... I ALWAYS throw bullet passes. It seems like she I throw a lob or touch, it either doesn't make it... Gets picked... Or the reciever drops it from the hit he takes trying to catch it.
Mike Daniels Inc. The lob passes are terrible in Madden 18. Every time I go for a lob pass to get it over a defender my receiver for whatever reason jumps when he doesn't need to and then gets hit in the legs and immediately drops the ball.

For a passing tips vid he got sacked & threw more INT’s than he had completions. And when talking about “go over your reads” he missed seeing the open receiver on the majority of plays & threw to the covered receiver (with most of them being INT’s) or he got sacked but yet didn’t include a tip about throwing the ball away instead. My fav part tho is when he says he used to be guilty on a consistent basis of making passing mistakes so doesn’t mind passing on his tips to lesser players, lol. Every football game isnt played in fair weather;smh its BORING..If i play someone online ,whatever team that has home should have the actual weather thats in that stadium- that actual time.even if it changes let it flow,when the rain stops, but we still see puddles, splashing, and dirtier uniforms. messy snow or cold brisk even fog damn .make it better!!

Passing in Madden has, still, & always will be terrible simply because corners & safeties do not bite on double moves... They play glue defense like they do in nba 2k... That's y 85 percent of pass routes in madden do not work... Slant, drag, streak, & curl are the only routes allowed to function on madden... That's y players run same play, same formation & just hot route because any other passing routes will not work ever... Madden is fucking terrible & always will be... Developed 4 almost 30 years & still total fucking trash

Passing in Madden has, still, & always will be terrible simply because corners & safeties do not bite on double moves... They play glue defense like they do in nba 2k... That's y 85 percent of pass routes in madden do not work... Slant, drag, streak, & curl are the only routes allowed to function on madden... That's y players run same play, same formation & just hot route because any other passing routes will not work ever... Madden is fucking terrible & always will be... Developed 4 almost 30 years & still total fucking trash
