Seeing the Concorde brings back memories of working at TWA JFK and watching it take off in the mornings on my way in and hearing the sonic boom which gave me the chills every single time.
Glad you got the chance to go on the Concorde! Fun fact... The small jump seat that you noticed... At BA, once it became illegal in the UK/Europe to physically measure someone weight in regarding to a job application, they got around that by using a Concorde jump seat at a "safety" check during the application process. During the first part of the interview, your hight was measured (which they could still do for reach test for aircraft equipment), you then had to sit in the jump seat, put on the harness and assume the crew brace position. If you were unable to do that, you were disqualified from the interview process 🙂 Also... Concorde used to be operated by Short Haul cabin crew, not Long Haul, even though the destinations were long haul schedule. Because of the flight time from LHR to JFK, it was similar to a lot of the European trips, so fitted better into the Short Haul scheduling so that's how they did it.

I wish my airline put us downtown. I was just there for a few days visiting family to get out of this Texas heat! 😰
Seattle is a fun city! When I was with the airlines we would get a down town layover if it was 12 hours or longer (which rarely happened!) Usually we were right next to the airport
Have you checked out the museum at the Charlotte airport…..it has the plane from the Hudson.
I have not seen that one yet! I haven't had a layover there yet actually!
