Vava Vadmal

This is a Swedish folk dance that puts the parts of the weaving process to dance and music. Watch for the dancers to be out looking for the sheep, gathering the sheep, shearing the sheep, threading the weaving loom, the shuttles of the loom moving back and forth, then they will wind up the cloth and unwind the cloth, and finally at the end they will test the cloth as they spin with all the other dancers on the floor. This was at a Syttende Mai celebration in Stoughton, WI in 2017.
