Another rumor is that when cannibal was on Ace Ventura, it was supposed to be a like 2 hour shoot, but turned into a whole day because Jim Carey couldn’t stop joking around with the band and making them laugh hysterically. I hope that’s true 😅

Most metal heads and musicans say that death metal is weirdly therapeutic. Much like how some people will vent by going to the gym or using a punching bag.
@@forgottenalexIt absolutely is, I sometimes fall asleep to the most repugnant sounding Slam, and I openly listen to all forms of Brutal Death Metal, on a weekly basis.
More importantly, I cannot even begin to describe how significantly my mood improves, when I’ve got some repulsive gutturals with heavily distorted crunchy riffage being loudly played, into my ears. 🤘

Both bands are from Sweden and Hammerfall has the whole hammer theme going on, but they're christians and often talk about Jesus, the Crusades and such, while Amon Amarth talks about the hammer as a symbol of Thor. What surprises me is that Hammerfall was seen as "much bigger" back in '99, whilst today Amon Amarth is definitely selling more tickets worldwide.

Maybe it is because the bring a giant Viking ship on stage that Amon Amarth are described as viking metal.

They're melodic death metal. They sing about Vikings and Norse mythology because of their heritage. It's like Johan is wearing his GrimFrost brand in the video. The brand was created to share their heritage. Also if Johan says it isn't, it isn't.
