- 🚐 - Engine Rebuild NIGHTMARE! | Mercedes T1 Major Repairs - Mercedes T1 OM602.940 engine rebuild.
In this weeks video Ben and I rebuild my engine again after waiting over 2 weeks for the head. We then had issues with their work... Once we fitted it the question was, would she run again? Watch till the end to find out! Does she have any issues? And was I stranded on Anglesey?

WELL DONE LADS YOU SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOURSELFS WELL DONE ENJOY YOURSELFS
Thanks mate! Enjoying it well now!
It’s always nice when everything finally goes back together and works as intended, even if there’s a few obstacles on the way. 👍
Haha yep it was a great relief!😅
Brillant to see her on the road again have fun
Thanks Gordon!
Haha! That was wicked to watch
Amazing job 👏
Ace to see Ben doing a few camios. You two haven't changed 😂
Thanks! Haha 😂
They was built so well the windscreen would Crack from the pressure of slamming the door, Mercedes said leave a tiny gap in the window, the only good thing about a sprinter was less oil changes and they would do over 100mph
Oh wow, I know the door is hard to shut when the windows are shut so I leave them open. I do have some extra holes in my cab too and it’s still hard to shut!
My favourite video so far, do more engine rebuilds..? 😂
Thank you!! Haha😂😂😂
You done yourself proud well done hopefully your get a bit better fuel mileage
Maybe a smidge but barely noticeable 😂
Love the way nothing phases you & you get stuck in & repair & save money,i was a mechanic in late 1980s at a vauxhall dealers who had a van hire buisness, they used 7 mercs one was diesel, the rest petrol, the petrols could leave cars standing at the lights & top 100mph,only 1 problem they for some reason used to snap gearsticks off at the bottom on piece we had 10 in stock to cover this😆 in my view the best vans of there time before the rust problem sprinters, keep up the good work👍🏻
Thanks Chris! Wow that’s crazy, not ever seen a petrol one in person. Haha how weird!
@@RustyRoseAdventures they were ultra reliable apart from a couple had timing chain failure on high miles,i love your living area conversion,we met a guy at a boot sale with a smiley grille luton transit, we were amazed when he lifted the roller shutter to see a 1960s house front door & stained glass, window, inside was old pine furniture the roof was still the transparent glass fibre & a map of the world on the wall, totally stealth with no windows when the roller was down,he was so interesting to talk to,he wore a tweed jacket jeans & a black bowler hat!😄keep plodding along my wife & i love your channel👍🏻
Well done on the engine build and getting her started eventually. Looks very smart painted up. Brilliant video
Thanks!! Was a mission and a half but happy to hear here running again
Well done 👍 happy travels
Thanks Mark!!👍
Well done guys!
Thanks mate!!
ran it longer with no coolant than I would have!
Well done. My bike needs a rebuild so I've replaced it. Seemed the easier option!
Cheers, haha sadly these vans aren’t replaceable 😂
Glad it’s all sorted mate I agree with you about the salt my sprinter looks like it’s been at the bottom of the ocean underneath
Yeah it’s mad init!!
Bravo 🤩
Thanks!!
Nice Job 💪.

You're going to have to change the channel name if you keep Lanoguarding Rose
Haha this is true 😂😂
I don't care what a mechanic says I use to drive them and own up to 18 at once and drive them 3000 miles a week and every weekend change the oil and every other weekend do the filter. If you drive them all day all over the country you can feel the little bit of loss power and it starts feeling not so sweet. You won't notice it unless you drive constantly
You could save a wad of cash by using filtered waste veg oil in that engine .
Yes but it's where to get it that is the issue when your on the road everyday. If i got a base somewhere I'd sort somewhere to filter it and use it, until then diesel it is sadly.
The cylinder that has the chuffing injector is loosing air and ends up with too much fuel and incomplete combustion causing the smoke.
Yes I believe this is where most of it was coming from but I also smell a bit of oil burning 🤔
