  • Please note, none of the items that I make or show in my videos are toys. They are not for children. All of my miniatures have small parts and are made with a variety of tools and materials. The items in my videos are also not edible! Please do not follow my videos as tutorials - they are made as diary entries to share with you my doll’s house makeovers. I hope you enjoy the videos. Thank you for watching!

This week, I had a second attempt at making a miniature four poster bed for my Tudor doll's house. I used a different method this time, up cycling and reusing second-hand doll's house furniture.
I hope you enjoy the video. Please let me know what you think in the comments. Thank you for watching.

Really like how the bed turned out! I like using natural elements in miniatures. Thank you so much for taking us through the process with you.

When taking items apart pop them in the microwave for a few seconds at a time the glue will loosen and you can pop a part. Love the bed

I really love this bed! In fact, I like it even better than the other one. Also, I think the fabric you wanted to use as curtains would look great just as they are, mounted on the inside and at the bottom of the top rail you added on to. I hope that makes sense! Let them hang just as they are.
I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product! I know that whatever you decide will be wonderful as always!

Love your garden, I have been looking outside much more since you did the poppy legs which were genius! I really love looking for inspiration in nature now because it gives really unique results and theres a fairytale feeling to it.

for the items with sticky wax in, I like to put them in a mug of really hot water with a bit of soap and the wax should melt out and float right to the top! if the material it's in can't handle hot hot water, then warm water should soften the wax up so you can pick it out!

    • @thelittlemouseshouse
      @thelittlemouseshouse  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Thank you for the suggestion! I’ll give it a go. I’m not sure if it is tacky wax but it’s definitely worth a try.

The bed was lovely you could substitute fancy buttons for the dry poppy seed heads. I’ve seen floral ones that would give that effect. I loved that you use things you have on hand to create your minis . 💕💕💕

I have been binge watching your videos today and loving every single one! I love your creative style and I absolutely adore how you make things from what you have. I don’t remember which video this was in. I think you were making a little frame. When you mix the silicone… The blue and the white… You mix it all together first so it’s all one color and then use it to make your mold. If you’ve mixed it properly, it will dry into a nice flexible mold so that you can use it over and over again! Keep up the good work you’re doing such a great job.

Thank you so, so much! I still feel like I’ve got a long way to go with making videos that are a little bit more professional (I still have trouble with the sound) but I’ll get there! Thanks for the advice about the silicone - I found that it dried so fast that it had started drying before I’d mixed it together properly 🤭. The mould did work in the end but it was certainly not perfect… hehe!

That sticky 'gunk' should come out if you put a wee bit of laundry soap and boiling water in a cup and soak it, it may also clean the goblet, but you might also find a bit of metal polish helps if it happens to discolour it, good luck

    Amazing bed ❤
To disassemble wooden furniture easily I put them in the microwave around 20 seconds depending on the furniture size, and they come apart very easily, a small tip for the next time you need to disassemble something😅

Just love the use of poppy seed head and wrapping the posts with string has given me ideas. Can’t wait for next video and I wondered if you could recommend a supplier of Tudor ornaments ie a pewter tankard and other suitable items. Would love to know your name too as it adds a more personal touch.

@@user-vo3md3mm1m Thank you! As I make a lot of my miniatures rather than buy them, I’m not sure of where to buy Tudor items from I’m afraid. However, you have just inspired me to research Tudor tankards and this afternoon I’ve made a miniature leather tankard. I’ll post the video tomorrow 🤭.
Im a little bit nervous to share too much information online, but some subscribers have given me the nickname ‘Little Mouse’, which I’m quite fond of ☺️!

@@pascaline161 I’m glad that you enjoyed seeing the making of the bed in the video. I’d love to hear where your bed is going - do you have a Tudor doll’s house too?
