could you use the sticks to make fireplace accessories or a broom? perhaps a feather duster or a picture frame? perhaps legs for a table or desk? the boarders of a sand pit or garden patch?

Great! I've been all over the place recently and this is new to me, exciting starting on a new house! After seeing people struggle with flooring, I would always use templates to stick anything to and try not to stick anything directly to the floors. I keep everything that can possibly be reused because you never know what you need to make. I also keep the scraps from furniture kits because odd little lengths of wood often come in handy, same with Chrysnbon plastic frames that the pieces are attached to, it makes great pipework for bathrooms and kitchens (you can bend those lollipop sticks to add U bends etc, I think Shyra at Queen city minis did that and Gretchen is a genius too) definately keep scraps, you never know❤

I think this is always the most exciting stage of a dolls house because it is just FULL of opportunities and possibilities! I am really looking forward to see how you progress with it. I think your idea of the gallery and apartments is such a cool idea, the pillars and beams on the bottom floor is not only essential for the integrity and strength of the house but also loads of galleries have them in too so it will add to the aesthetic!

I am trying to catch up with missed videos! I missed at least 4 or 5. No notifications at all. TH-cam has been failing me a lot lately! You've gotten a good start on the house. I don't think that the heat from the hairdryer would be a problem where the glue fumes are concerned, but you can just make sure you have some ventilation and possibly wear a mask. But I think you'll need the heat to remove all the foam.

An art gallery sounds ineresting. Have you thought of making just a large arch in the wall that way you'll hopefully jeep the strength of the house nut it would look like a walk through room. The outside looks fine but what about some ivy growing up and around. Window boxes for the apartments would be lovely.

Great start! I like the idea of beams and columns, they will suit an art gallery perfectly.

Hair dryer can work well with removing glue from the wallpaper. I did that with alternating between wet soapy water.

So much fun to see you getting started, I think the hairdryer with scraper sounds like an excellent idea for the bits of the carpeting that remain. And the metal posts and beam will be great, looking so forward to seeing this project unfold. Thanks for posting, as always!❤

Hello, great start, columns and beams will work well in the art gallery, you could try a hairdryer to warm up and soften the glue holding the foam down, glue can be tricky to remove sometimes, you might have to cover the floor with thin card if sanding after getting the foam off doesn't help, it will give you a flat surface to add your own flooring to. Hello have you seen Smol World Workshop? This person has a wonderful technique for stonework. He uses Styrofoam xps. He textures it with crumpled up aluminum foil. Then paints it. You can adapt it for the slate roof. Can't wait to see what you come up with. 🏚❤

How are you going to include a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and sitting area in two rooms? A bit crowded I think.

What a beautiful bed

I like the idea of an art shop on the bottom level. Then leave the the second and third levels the artist home and studio. Perhaps on the first floor you could also put a small workshop where the artist could give lessons.

What a lovely house! I actually love the red brick paper and the chimney pots. I also like the idea of apartments, however, I am not sure about the outside staircase. However, I was not always sure about some of the ideas you had for the Tudor house (taking out most of the floor above the dining hall) but in the end your ideas worked and I was proved wrong! So go with what your gut is telling you!
