Because Splatoon 2’s FrostyFest was happening early January. We only got Winter and gala themed gear in Splatoon 3 because FrostyFest happened mid January

SPLATOON CANCELLED CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEARS
I thought it was about the secret about upcoming dlc.
The number 8 is everywhere and in the news article they brought up the number 8 again saying “ inklings and octolings dress to the nines ( or octlings dress to the eights?)” said something like that anyways the number 8 is seen everywhere in the new side order dlc trailer and the number 8 is on the shoal logo but side ways and we have head gear such as the ocho Octo phones which resemble the red Octo phones we get as a gift for buying Octo expansion “ocho” means eight in Spanish and if you look it up the ocho Octophone blancos have the number 8’s on the side of the head phones that’s what those shapes are supposed to resemble.
Also I don’t think anyone noticed but they put side order fish enemy stickers by the ramp area in the top right corner of splattsville that leads to nowhere during splatoween I saw other fish stickers but they were all green body and pink eyes except for two by the ramp they had black and white body and red eyes I do have a picture of the red eyed fish stickers. ( though it’s not there anymore bc splatoween is over already )
And obv everyone knows acht means eight in German I think… and the pearl drone has a number eight resembling the infinite ♾️ sign and it’s seen several other times but others are more well hidden like the ♾️ number or side ways 8 logo on pearl drone the back of the drone at least

It’s actually an illusion. That new frosty fest hat mixed with that hair makes it look glittery from certain angles. Hope that helps!
