I think "Strawberry Wine" is one of the greatest country songs ever written or recorded. Deana has such a beautiful voice. I love this updated version with the other beautiful voiced ladies as well. Both versions bring tears to my eyes.

This song always gives me goosebumps! I have a very specific memory associated with it….lt was 1996, I was in the Navy, I was 19. I joined the Navy and was on my way to my first duty station in Mississippi after completing school & meeting (and marrying) my husband. We were stationed at different duty stations across the country and I made the drive myself. It was late summer….you know those days that are still warm but you can smell fall coming in the air? I had my portable CD player that you had to put an adapter into the tape deck into to make it work. I had bought “Did I shave my legs for this” as one of the albums to listen to on the drive. It was around 3:30 in the afternoon, I had the windows all rolled down in my fully packed car, wind in my hair, sun on my face, and I blasted this song on repeat. Man, those were the days.

Me too !! It is now I'm 62 now so I was listening around 30 or so Now isn't it Bittersweet? I wish I could do it one more time go back cause I loved my Husband!! I miss him so!!!
Oh jeez....I am 43 now....was a teenager when this song first came out...have 5 kids and a grandbaby now, (we're a blended family...) But my husband and I were little kids when we met and dated through high school...stopped...married other people, divorced them (😬 we wanted the relationships to work but they didn't😭) but we're back together now, married and have a big happy family....Life is funny in many ways. Whats meant to be will be meant to be...and this just takes me back to where we were young....before our hardships. But we are SO happy now. 💖 And I was the ass**** who broke up with him, bc he had to go away and I couldn't handle it. I am so sorry everyday, but count my blessings every day now that we were able to reconnect and be together to this day and happily married for 9 years this April...💖
I was 16 when this song came out in 1996. I remember belting it out driving through my small hometown with my best friends in the car. I may not have had the best childhood, but I miss the simplicity of life.
Wouldn't it be nice to go back to a much simpler life like this. We really could use this in today's world. Thank you all for the memories!!!! What a great song.

This song always takes me back to being a teenager and being young, dumb and in love... I'm 30 and married now, but it always fills my heart with nostalgia. Brings warmth to my soul and a tear to my eye.
I was 30 when this came out, I remember everything, but I was 14 and he was 19, not knowing. But it was a summer I will never forget. It was so bittersweet, but so beautiful. I know today it would be wrong. But back then, it was so sweet and beautiful. It was two people in Love 💕💕
I lived a very similar story. Everyone said I didn’t know love at that age but when it’s love it’s love, it doesn’t discriminate regardless of age. Nothing or no one can or will ever erase those memories. They say you don’t forget your first love and I believe that to the fullest. I’ve been married for going on 12 years now and even though I love my husband, there will always be a special place for that first love. It didn’t work for us for a reason and I’ve come to terms with that since then but this songs really hits the heart. We would sneak out in the middle of the night and actually sip on home made wine! strawberry wine.
Sitting sick with covid feeling terrible and a bit sorry myself... .. listening to this song makes me feel alive and home in California sunshine darn Alaska winters are to long for me anymore. God bless. Stay safe.

Nostalgic vibes! Man this song still makes me tear up and it just takes me back to particular time in my life. I wonder where that particular someone is now all these years later. Guess we’ll always have that summer to reflect on. It’s beautiful how a song can take you there even emotionally. I’m married now and with a family but it’s crazy how your first love memories can come back with one song like your 17 again.
I think most if not all woman can relate some how to this song. It’s been a favorite of mine since I was a young teenager but just hit 30 last month, and I can’t express how much I truly love this song! I didn’t think it was possible for a better version than the original but this song has all the right lyrics, beats, and I love the change with the voices! It’s like taking a hank song and throwing Chris Stapleton in it!
This song takes me back to those nights when Id wake up in the middle of the night and those random mixed album commercials were playing snippets of all the songs.
I had not intended on getting weepy and sentimental this evening, but then TH-cam suggested this video to me. I vividly remember when this song first came out. I was 19, in college majoring in radio while working at a local radio station, and this song was on HEAVY rotation. Partly out of being tired of it and partly out of being "too cool" at that age to like it, I remember thinking it was a goofy song. I couldn't tell you how many years it's been since I've heard it...and it hit hard today. When I was 19, I had lots of plans, confidence, and energy. I thought I had it all figured out. I had no idea how little I actually knew or the roads life would take me down. I'm a 44 year old science teacher now with a wife, 9 year old daughter, and a house full of pets. Did I ever think I'd end up like this? Goodness no...but I have no regrets and I'm grateful for the journey AND the people I have along my side for it. I didn't "get" this song back then...but I think I do now. Thank you so much, Deanna Carter, for making a new version of this song that helped me revisit my past and feel more than a bit nostalgic.

My mom has told me that this was my Granddaddy's favorite song. He died 2 weeks after I was born, so of course I have no recollection of him & only a single picture of he & I together, but listening to the original version has always brought a smile to my face & made me feel connected to him in some way. It's going to be so nice having a new version with this collaboration to love myself.
This gave me goosebumps listening as I remember what I was doing and where I was 25 years ago. Wow! What an emotional song even now. ❤️❤️ Thank you All

Wow!! 25 years ago I was 22 years old. Where in the World does time go?!? I’d love to go back 25 years and relive it all over again. Times were good. I love this song
OMG, one of my favorite songs and albums ever!!! I was 16-17 when this song came out. I got goosebumps then and still do to this day!! Brings back so many good memories when I hear this song or this album!! Deana Carter is a legend!!!!
At 42 I still think 30 is old. But at 42 I'm old enough to know better and still to young to care. I love the memories and excited for the future but the here and now is called the present because it's a gift. Wish I could live the present to its fullest.
@@Dailyobservation-B4E no, she had other hits, like “Did I Shave My Legs For This?” LoL. That’s just off the top of my head, but I always loved her music. I’m not sure how many made Top 10, but I think you’d like her others as well :)
Damm! this song brought on the tears the first time I heard it and again every time since, now here it's 25 yrs later and a new version has me finding more tears Damm!

Omgoodness me too...it is one song that stuck with me....really stuck and I know every word still today!!! I love @Deanna Carter! #StrawberryWineAnd17 💛🌻😁
I just saw Kylie Morgan sing this tonight at a concert held in fort benning, she did amazing and reminded me of my younger years singing this song all through the house.
I remember the original because me and my buddies back in highschool used to have an acoustic play list at our bon fires that we'd jam... But this is beautiful! Her voice has more bass and grit now, but that's maturity for you lol, the older I get the deeper my voice becomes lol. I love it!!! And those ladies can blow as well! Like angel's.. 💯🍻💚🤘🏻😎
Deanna Carter still has that beautiful voice and looks amazing. This remix was so cool. Loved Kylie Morgan's Texan accent. All the girls sounded awesome.
Yeah I still have the album, you can still bring tears to my eyes at 64 year old man, not embarrassed by that fact. Maybe I'll listen to that album again tomorrow, vinyl you know LOL
This song has always been one my favs. I was a 90s kid growing up. We started having dances 4th and 5th grade and up. This one always was playing. I slow danced with many a girl to this classic song. Even now in these present times you can still go around places and Strawberry Wine is still fired up on an ol jukebox. This revised version with everyone is awesome. Sounds great. Gotta show my support to a fellow Arkansas resident Ashley McBryde also.
Oh man. This is beautiful. This brings back such memories. I’m only 27 but I’ve been listening to this song for as long as I can remember.. first time I remember I was a little girl dancing in a bedroom to this. Now I listen to this song when I’m driving anywhere. I love all of the ladies singing. They each brought their own into this song. Just wow.
THAT. WAS. AMAZING. the way it was put together, the amazing women she chose to be a part of the remaking of such a nostalgic beautiful song…I had chills the whole time
Always loved this tune and still have it on our playlists. Ashley never disappoints. Man, she’s got the voice but she also has the wise old woman at the controls to hit that perfect note at the perfect time. Nice. The youngins are both fantastic too. Nice redo.

I didn't read all the comments, so I don't know if anyone said this already or not... But you know why I love? These old (fart) session musicians. They just have that gentle disposition that in an old person says "I won at life." They're recording their bass part or slide guitar or whatever, union stuff. And they're just wicked chill. What would be truly decadent is a version on TH-cam with vocalists (singers) the age of the era. Famous, maybe not famous. But that would be awesome.
This song was a favorite when was I younger, and continues to be to this day. It has very special memories tied to it for me and reminds me of my mother who passed in recent years. As a 34 year old mother with children myself now, this song is beautifully bittersweet. 💖
Grandma loves to sit in the window and think about the times when our family and gatherings the photo album is such a great place to go back in time and feel your heart beat again... such a beautiful song
I have always loved this song, but I really really really loved this video. Everyone looked like they were having so much fun and what a great tribute to Deana as well. Love this.

Kylie Morgan nailed it most definitely amazing voice
This song still gets to me to this day! And, like a fine wine, it has just gotten better! ❤❤❤❤❤
Wow!! 25 years ago I was 22 years old. Where in the World does time go?!? I’d love to go back 25 years and relive it all over again. Times were good. I love this song
Same here
What an amazing remake. Deana sounds as good as ever, and everybody else added their own touch. Gave me goosebumps!
25 years! Man I feel old! Song still sounds good.
So glad to see this song is finally getting the recognition and so deserves !!!! Ms Dina Carter underrated artist, truly one of the best!!!!
Best one hit wonders?
@@Dailyobservation-B4E no, she had other hits, like “Did I Shave My Legs For This?” LoL. That’s just off the top of my head, but I always loved her music. I’m not sure how many made Top 10, but I think you’d like her others as well :)
Damm! this song brought on the tears the first time I heard it and again every time since, now here it's 25 yrs later and a new version has me finding more tears Damm!
They all sound wonderful
Kylie Morgan is my favourite voice I’ve heard in years

Holy f***!! I couldn't tell who was singing!! This version is so beautiful!
Oooh, I like this version. I didn't think that the original could be improved. Gotta listen again.
I absolutely Love this collaboration!! Ladies, that was amazing!! Deanna, thank you for this !! This song brings back memories of my youth.
Omgoodness me too...it is one song that stuck with me....really stuck and I know every word still today!!! I love @Deanna Carter! #StrawberryWineAnd17 💛🌻😁
Okay! I love the girl in the green shirt and the bun voices! What?! So good! Deanna’s is still real good!
She still sounds Great!!!
How not to love country music?
I love the song, live the voices and singers in this new version 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💐😘♥️💐
I just saw Kylie Morgan sing this tonight at a concert held in fort benning, she did amazing and reminded me of my younger years singing this song all through the house.
This is one outstanding song…
🙌🙌♥️♥️♥️
Nice redo.
Beautiful 🥰
Did I Shave My Legs For This was one of the best country albums of the 90's! Love it

Great collaboration. Love seeing all these girl country collabs. Ashley could sing the dictionary & I'd be a happy girl.
Exactly!!!
Still killing it. Need more music
Deanna I don't know how many 'takes' that took but it was perfect. Your 'mature' voice is like wow!
This song was a favorite when was I younger, and continues to be to this day. It has very special memories tied to it for me and reminds me of my mother who passed in recent years. As a 34 year old mother with children myself now, this song is beautifully bittersweet. 💖
Same for me. My mom loved Deana Carter and we used to listen to this album on repeat. I wish she were still here to hear this version!
I reflect back to 1965!! When this song came out... It was like she told my story!! Hit me hard!!
😢😢😢
Grandma loves to sit in the window and think about the times when our family and gatherings the photo album is such a great place to go back in time and feel your heart beat again... such a beautiful song
I have always loved this song, but I really really really loved this video. Everyone looked like they were having so much fun and what a great tribute to Deana as well. Love this.
Love this so much!! I was around 13 when this came out and now 37 now. This song always takes me back to my teen years.
this was brilliant and beautiful

An all time classic country song that never gets old, it just gets better every time I hear it, hmm just like "wine" as it ages ! 👏👍🍷
