- This week we find one of the more unique farms in Canada: a water buffalo herd. At the Koskamp Family Farms, Henry & Inge are milking a herd of about a hundred water buffalo and raising other for meat. The milk is being turned into cheese while the meat can be found as Tenderbuff. Come inside the unique farm producing for a niche market.

The weather of Canada is not good for the water Buffalo's, must need a controlled shed. The best place to get good production from Buffalo's is by the River of Punjab. Weather of Punjab is best for Buffalos.
a lot of South American countries are raising these because they're easier to take care of them and they eat lots of grass and they grow this big swirl sorghum grass huge and just filled them and they turn them loose into the field where they have at growing this is in Colombia South America where I saw this

In India buffalo give 20 to 26 liter milk of day
This is not an average milk bro. Its exceptional case, Average milk per day a farmer get from water buffalo is around 8-10 liters per cow.
Please do not spread misinformation. Some show animals produce that kind of milk.
For commercial purposes 10 litres of milk daily is the average for buffalo

Do you give them hormones ? What do they eat?
@@edsher7679he is exaggerating, only elite buffalos give that kind of milk and only when they are competing in milk competitions. in such competitions, they use all kind of hormones. Otherwise normal buffalo's lactation yield is 2000-4500 depending on the breed and feed.

STRETCHENDURANCE.PUNJAB punjab no they are not. Murrah are jet black and they don't have white marks on head and they are not brown and they produce much more milk not just 8-9 liters.

Possibly with painkillers to make the area numb and hot iron to burn off the horn buds as a calf. That is how it is done in horned cattle so I’m guessing it is similar for the buffalo

Makes me sad to see they have all been dehorned. I'm planning on 2 gals and will not dehorned them. My gals will be dual use. . Milkers and draft oxen.

nice set up you need to increase milking yield there are buffalo yielding 8 -10 kg per milking in india and pakistan i also own around 100 buffalo
