The man was prob in chemo for months taking pain meds. weeping

It seems like it, because most of the reports just would say Rene passed away as if from old age. Then one or 2 people started adding he'd passed from lung cancer metastatic. From my bare internet knowledge that type happens fast but still takes months to get serious. Shimerman & Visitor then tweeted their sorrow mentioning they went to visit Rene while he was in medical care and expecting to pass away wanting to speak to close friends & family but didn't speak of being shocked or surprised but sad inevitable.

One of the most heartbreaking arcs of their relationship. The way she holds him as he's dying, and then the deathbed scene. The depth of their love for each other is on full display. The tender kiss, and "I love you" that each says to the other. Tearjerking.

Something to think about... Kira saves the galaxy here. This was one of the few major experiences that Odo didn't have before the second-to-last time he linked with Female Changeling and the last one, and it's the kind of experience that would likely sway Female Changeling into seeing that there can be more than animosity with the "solids", along with giving Odo the newfound confidence and conviction to impress upon her that yes, the Changelings CAN make peace and the Founders are WRONG.
I love how he's gasping for breathe... He doesn't breathe. I get it's a great way to show us the severity of his condition but come on lol. It's the most apparent symptom aside from the peeling skin RIP Odo 🖖
Maybe Odo has gotten good at replicating humanoids that forwhatever reason he's made lungs to look real 'breathing' and they help move his gel around to keep from becoming rigid like his outer skin.
ETA forgot the most logical that explains away the REALITY of the ACTOR needing to breathe ODO HAS TALK BLOW AIR GAS past a vibrating 'tissue'. Thus just to talk he makes 1 or 2 air bladders to takein & blow out when he has to speak. Being so sick weak maybe the lining of the internal air bladders are as raw dry flaky so Odo HAS to keep them inflated to not internally hurt like the outer skin.

WTF? Kira would yell screams BUT NEVER hits unless ATTACKED or she/loved one Physically Threatened! Ergo I will NEVER Congrat the STOnline people for the DS9 expansion as if good storyline. Quark & Garak get treated great but use Odo/Kira as excuse to make drama.

Yeah I've seen it - it's amazing. Love hearing Nana and Rene discuss the Odo/Kira relationship and just the power of the love they had for each other.
