I heard this song for the first time in 2006 when i was blackout drunk at a frat party at Tri-State University in Angola Indiana. Played it on repeat all night in my friends dorm room while everybody was asleep. Must have listened to this 10 minute song at least 60 times. It's an absolute masterpiece. Every time I hear it, it takes me back to that magical night. Nobody tells you you're living in the good ole days when you're living in the good ole days. Take me back. Please. Just one night. I'll die a happy man.
My girlfriend 20+ years ago put this song on a CD for me. First listened to it on a long drive in central California. I had to pull over and cry. Makes me think of her every time I re-hear it. Somehow that all fits with the song.
Thank you for sharing this version. It's what made me fall in love with Something Corporate all those years ago. I'm suddenly 19 again, going to shows and having the time of my life. Thank you.
Late response but this version is when he did it live at the Coachhouse in 99 (maybe 2000). It was the original version of what Andrew was adlib/freestyling. What he says here is what he was trying to say to multiple girls all at once.
I was serching this song cause I had an original version of this going to college at UCI and kept hearing a different version on TH-cam and couldnt figure it out. So even if this is years old posted thanks.
This is my favorite version followed by the version where he infuses weezers, “only in dreams” lyrics into Konstantine. “You can’t avoid her, she’s in the air… in between molecules of oxygen and carbon dioxide… only in dreams you’ll see what it means. Reach out your hand and hold onto hers.”
Thank you very much for sharing. Agree with all that this is vastly the best version. By far the most authentic. Question. Does anyone know where this was done live?
I just read below that one of the coMmenters thought it was performed at the “coachouse” in 1999 or 2000. Not sure where that is. But thank you my friend for sharing. :)
I chopped off that long blonde hair, you’re on drugs now you never found the home you were looking for. Alll things you put me through They don’t hurt me like you did no they don’t. Peace is nice. Get sober

This is the best and only version for me. Been listening to this one since my teenage years. Oh God the memories!
literally searched for this version thinking the same thing.... still remember downloading on kazaa
Same
Same.
The way he says "god, I miss you" gets me every time....
Every time
I specifically came lookin for this version because of that line.
@@michealgarcea8859 SAME !!!!
This version is so raw I don't think I can ever listen to another version again. And I've been listening to this song for years beyond I can remember.
Ruins every other version I was halfway thru the recorded one when I had to search for this
This was the first version I ever heard. The produced one can't touch it for me.
100% agree
I came back after all these years, and still remember every word.
the limewire version on my MP3 player I fell in love with
Yes, exactly! ❤
Yep lol

I knew this was the one when I heard the “Yeah Andrew!”
"They'll never hurt you like I do" is the most raw and visceral lyric in any love/lost song I've ever heard.
William Casey why? What exactly is so strong? What’s your impression about this quote?
Hello my Limewire friends. This is the version we grew up with.
Thank you for sharing this version. It's what made me fall in love with Something Corporate all those years ago. I'm suddenly 19 again, going to shows and having the time of my life. Thank you.
thank you, this is the version I fell in love with over ten years ago
+iblackmagiki fucking, same.

I love that comment about the "God I miss you". That is exactly right. Its what makes this version way better.
I was serching this song cause I had an original version of this going to college at UCI and kept hearing a different version on TH-cam and couldnt figure it out. So even if this is years old posted thanks.
This is hands down the best version. I feel like when he says "its hard to like it" at 5:50 just feels correct. Thank you!
Wow, this version is amazing! Now I can't stop playing it 💗

Ends it on 11:11... Nice touch
It’s been forever since I heard the original version. I forgot how beautiful it was!
2022 and I'm still soooo in love with this version.
This was the first version I heard. A guy sent it to me and I listened to it on repeat
So beautiful
this song speaks volumes to me, have been searching for this version ever since I heard it on an CD made by my sister years ago
Lindsey Martins it's really something special. All-time favorite song
It's mine as well
This is the first version I heard and it’s my favorite
Ahh! This is version I’ve always loved! I’ve lost the download a while ago 😢 so I’m so happy to find it again! Thank you!!

Does everyone else also somehow also remember all the lyrics after the first time hearing it?
Thank you💗
Thank you very much for sharing.

Best version! Hands down! Where was it recorded? It's funny how I know every note and nothing about where it or when it was recorded
was this the first time he played this song with her in the crowd?
I don't think, just first recording
+Paul Gemperlein yeah you can definitely tell its a first so many errors on keys at parts aha
Paul Gemperlein I agree! I think so as well!
@@oshambLes They weren't errors. The lyrics were changed for the next recording.
This was the coachouse recording so first time live. Konstantine is multiple girls in Andrew's life to that point so was one of them there... yeah.
this dude can't see sorry but everything is off key.
It's old af. Listen to the DVD live version.
It's real though so who cares
I'm so happy I could find this somewhere wow
