The ladybug is Susan's way of remembering her daughter who died from breast cancer.

Wow, that really hits hard and home. It’s so not right for a Mum to go through that. I got lucky and somehow was able to beat it, for now anyways.
I call them Ladybirds just like Sharon from Craft Eccentricity. My Mum was from England too and that’s how I had been raised. Plus, I kinda like it too.
