Just picked up my 2001 5 speed LS last month! It's so fun to throw through the mountain twisties. It's not fast, but it's FUN and I got 30 mpg on the first tank of 93 octane while not driving it that easy!
Buddy at work is letting me make payments on an 02 Miata and a 2017 Elantra. Said he’d do both for 3500. Should have both vehicles Friday and I’m anxious to give that Miata a spin
@@milanandjelkovic3516 The only reason you are right with is rust. Yes, it is a problem and people have to prevent it. But all the other reasons you mentioned are not true in comparison to other cars.

if you ask me it isn't under powered, its about bang on the right amount of power. i have the 1.8 nb2 and it lets you get away with all sorts. any more power and it would be all over the place. or in a hedge. probably in a hedge actually.

This one also had almost 218,000 miles and it would’ve lasted me a long time the motor and transmission was still going strong! I can’t wait to get another one
Non of the videos I’ve watched do this cars size justice lol.. I’ve been driving a Toyota Yaris for 4+ years and that’s a small car. The Miata is half the size of the Yaris and that’s being generous lol. Can’t wait to call it mine tomorrow😂
i actually bought that plate for my eclipse before it went on my miata! i still have the plate actually! one of the only things i was able to keep from the wreckage other than my shift knob lmaoo
@@flamingphoenix1425 yea there’s pics at the end of the video, I wrecked a couple weeks after we filmed this. It was totaled and the wrecker that took it charged insanely high amounts for it to be towed half a mile to their shop so I wasn’t able to get it out
I don’t know why some people think the Miata isn’t fast, I mean what are they comparing it to? It carries around 16 lbs. per horsepower, which is no more than a lot of cars, it is certainly capable of passing and exceeding all speed limits in North America. It is fast, you just have adjust your idea of the word in this context. The Miata is capable of maintaining great speed in the corners.
Don’t get me wrong, I love them and I intend to get one one day. But they aren’t fast, my mustang has more than twice the horsepower, does 0-60 in less than half the time, and has a considerably higher top speed… stock. But fast isn’t everything, and like they said a car can be fun to drive even without being fast
Sally Reim i saw a turbo miata once and im pretty sure the guy was pushing 600-700hp and he was beating a cammed corvette, even if they have the same power the miata is a smaller lighter car
