    You have to wonder why on earth they didn’t build in multiple languages in the first place (which seemed to be in the one that the EV place put in)?

      Its very strange, all the code is in the dash ready to go?
      I think they had a language setting in the 2020 JDM LEAF.

    Apparently Nissan Australia is releasing your exact same car [62kWh] sometime early next year, I wonder how much it will be driveaway brand new

    • @ev4me2
      @ev4me2  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its being released in the first half of 2021, I am thinking around $65,000 AUD, on the road

    "It's a fly! Where is he? Go away fly!" LOL
    I do have a question though, do you not bother with the rectangle pop-up alert(s) that comes through say during a drive in Japanese and you have to translate it first? I'm more concern with those primarily and with my wife panic when she's driving the car don't know what the alerts mean. :-)
    Thanks for sharing. As usual what a great content. I enjoyed every bit.

      Hi Victor, the Dash alarm (rectangle pop-up alert), you see in the video (in many languages), is a Dash under testing on a Lab bench. Its easier to film, as it only takes me 60 seconds to toggle dash through various languages for filming.
      This normally does not pop up in normal "in-car" operation. I also put the dash into sleep mode to double verify language has gone across to Charge/climate timers
      I am just too lazy to clear the "Park Brake" fault. I did apply some logic to the "Park Brake Switch" line (pin 30?). but fault did not clear. And I am not going down the "Canbus" rabbit hole (pins 8 & 10?). Sorry memory a bit sketchy from 2 months ago
      As long as the alarm is in the correct language, thats all I care about. I am not sure if other technicians get the same alarm up when converting??
      But when your dash is converted, your wife can Panic even further when she can read the "rectangle pop-up alert" in her own language.
      Cheers EV4ME

    Would you have considered one of the Renault Zoe’s currently being cleared out mid $30k’s?

    • @ev4me2
      @ev4me2  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very tempting, Renault say the zoe, has a real world driving range of 300km.
      That means its got a more "Real world" range more like 240-270km (dependant on driving style, conditions, battery SOH, etc).
      But it is a great buy, if you can get it for a good price. If you need a car to run around town, and don't mind hopping between chargers on the open road.
      We deliberately went "BIG" with the 62 kWh Battery, in the 62kWh e+ LEAF. The zoe seemed to be a bit small for us and the dog.

    If you could, could you edit the youtube description box and put first the info & place(s) that do the dashboard coversion for $350 - $450? With all the text in it currently its a bit hard to find who/where [EV Workshops] does it

      Done, I was just editing all the descriptions. I put the "Places where you get conversions done" at the top.

      It's because japan exports 5 million cars a year, from its JDM auction system, largest in the world.
      Also we are talking about an export that happened over 2 years ago, so your prices today are not relevant to 2020.
      Also more expensive for Aussies to import from UK and USA.

      @@ev4me2 Sir i.import cars since 1990..from the usa and uk..to Europe..it always depends on the carprice,shippingfee,and customs..i can tell you a usa car to germany doubles in price after all fees..till here,then repairlabor and parts..and you need righthandcars..then your options are limited to japan,uk..and few others,thats the main reason..🤔🇪🇺🇺🇸
