Hey you-tuber's ! This is one of the best series about speakers and the components involved on the internet.... period. If you take the advice given, you should be able to make a pair of DIY speakers, ideal for your listening space. Great Advice. Thanks to NRD for giving GR Research a voice on you tube.
Great video, like the Tech Talk theme. Danny did an awesome job, some great information given out. I really like it when he says "the room is part of the system". This could not be more true. Without the the acoustic treatment in my room my system sounds good, with it it sounds awesome! The foam panels that I use were very inexpensive, and make huge difference, adding to a great listening experience. Ron I did the " lights out" speaker setup that you show in the previous video. It was easy to do, and got great results. Look very much forward to more Tech Talk videos. Would really like to see more of Danny, you two really compliment each other.
Excellent start for Tuesday Tech Talk , well done Danny. Those of us who enjoyed the GR Research demo system at Lone Star Audio Fest 2019 experienced first hand the music magic that can be obtained when the principles Richie discusses are put into practice.
I think a lot of the problem is even you see people paying many thousands of dollars on a system. And then paying more for the cables than the room. Wasted money.
Shout out to Danny! I have 8 of your M130X woofers and also your 12” sub.. the one that you first came out with about 10 years ago.. also I think all of my crossover parts are from you.
Thanks for this informative video, based on genuine knowledge! I got fascinated of this specific speaker, but I can´t find it on Gr- Research website. It would be great to know what speaker or DIY kit this is.
Ive been saving and lusting for the Ryan R610s since your review. Now I want them little OBs. My tastes have changed I finally got tube monoblocks and I really dig those thank you mister Richie and you too Ron much appreciated as always bro
Agreed on the speaker placement from the front wall but unfortunately, a lot of us haven't got that luxury. Our homes in England are generally much smaller than you're American homes so it's all about compromise. Sacrifices have to be made. Great video!, 👍
