    I've been dealing with the burning thigh for years, maybe due to a hip replacement on that side. I've added 2 sets of exercises I found to my morning yoga routine, and they help, but I think this has made the most difference. At 71, I'm still sitting at the computer working from home all day. I've been surprised how much of the day I was spending bending forward. Thank you!!!

    Thanks for addressing this. I have dealt with this since my hysterectomy 15 yrs ago and when I mentioned it to the Doctor while still in the hospital, she said, oh that's normal. Never explained it and I thought it would go away. I deal with it most when I'm standing or walking for a long time. I will try your methods!

      If you get it most when standing and walking, it could be from a back problem. Here's a video to address that: th-cam.com/video/UWd0rUZqA5E/w-d-xo.html
      Or it could also be from muscles in your outer hip: th-cam.com/video/p7lEMwdPPbI/w-d-xo.html

    When I sleep on my back and suddenly I want to turn to my left side during sleep, I get extremely painful stabbing electricity cramp (if regular cramp pain is 4/10, this is 10/10 pain) to my right side of right thigh. I am quite a tough guy, but I almost cry each time it happens. It does not happen if I sleep on any of my sides nor during the day. It started 5 years ago just by sometimes feeling a tingling or electricity in that thigh, but now it's the worst. I workout with trainer three days a week, have active lifestyle. It happens either on soft or hard mattresses. Thank you for this video, will try if it helps me. God bless you!

      @More4Life  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      If it only happens when you're on your back, you might try sleeping with a pillow under your knees. That helps keep your lower back in a neutral position and can take tension off of your hip flexors if they're tight. Here's another video about rolling over in bed that may help as well. th-cam.com/video/osN9ZcDvA9s/w-d-xo.html Good luck!

  • @omorikayoko

    Yes I have been discovering the same things.. While driving I put my left leg (the one that hurts) in such a way that it's more externally rotated (knee further apart than hip width). I was playing around while walking a dog that landing on the outer part of my foot and externally rotating my knees helped, while squeezing gluteal muscles. I liked how you pulled yourself up after squeezing butt muscles, because, yes having anterior pelvic bias hurts more so I was kind of rounding my lower back. So far I still have groin pain and what seems to be hip bursitis as well. I wonder if I need to see a nerve compression specialist or adhesion release therapist.. in the meantime I try to do nerve floss, gluteal and SI joint exercises and go for a walk. Stress has a lot to do with it too though, certainly I have flare-ups when I'm under stress.

    I pulled my lower left back driving hips back with an RDL. Have pain in that spot and now I have nerve pain entrapment down the front of my thigh only. Sit to stand, a jumping jack .. sit ups all causing massive front left thigh pain and possible a disc is pressing on nerve. I WILL try these.

    • @More4Life
      @More4Life  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      These may or may not help with that kind of pain. The L3 or L4 nerve roots from the lower back would be the ones to cause front of thigh pain. The harder my leg had to work, the more pain there was so doing a barbell squat or leg press caused quite a bit of pain. When I stand from a sitting position my left thigh muscle has severe pain and I can’t bear weight on my left leg. Even the act of my leg straightening when get up to stand is painful. I have to put all of my weight on my right leg and my arms that are holding me up on the table until the pain goes away and I can straighten leg and able to bear weight on it. Sometimes I’m stuck like that for a couple of minutes before I can move. I have an appointment with the neurologist this Friday. I am a nurse who walks all day and I’m afraid to sit because it’s too painful to stand. So now my feet and hips hurt too. It’s debilitating. ☹️😔

      If they did a cardiac catheterization, they go in through the femoral artery which is near the femoral nerve. Occasionally that can irritate the femoral nerve. Sensation may come back eventually, but unfortunately only time will tell.

      Sorry to hear that. After 3 years, there is the possibility that there's some permanent nerve damage that can't be fixed at this point. However, if you've had 3 back surgeries from L1-L5, it might also be wise to see if the burning is coming from somewhere else rather the the lower back... such as a peripheral nerve. Good luck!
