The Siyakudumisa (Te Deum) it is a hymn of praise. The title is taken from its opening Latin words,Te Deum laudamus, rendered as "Thee, O God, we praise you!"
Born and Baptized in the Assemblies of God- BACK To GOD and later accepted Christ Jesus as my Lord and Personal Saviour. This is one hymn that lift my spirit all the time. Every time I sing, tears are coming from my eyes for Indeed I am nothing and don't exist without God, Jesus Christ the son and the Holy Spirit.
Funny thing is when I was child- I would dread going to church with my Granny because I didn’t know why they sang long hymns at the Methodist church we went to. Today the very hymn gives me hope and peace. A gentle reminder of Gods consistency and his Love for that little ignorant child.❤️
This prayer reminds me of my days as a young girl, grew up in the Methodist Church now an Anglican by marriage, but I still miss being part of the Methodist most specially on Good Friday.
I was awakened by Siyakudumisa in the hospital when one nurse played Siyakudumisa on her phone at 3am. I felt butterflies in my stomach. I wanted to hear it many times. Unfortunately I didn't have internet by then. Fortunately I play it every time I have time. It soothes the spirit.
Siyakudumisa Thixo [We praise you Lord] Siyakuvuma ukuba unguYehova [We confess that you are Jehova] Umhlaba wonke ubhedesha wena [The whole world is worshiping you] UYise ongunaphakade [Eternal father] Zonke iingelosi zimemeza kuwe [All the angels call on you] Kwa nezulu nawo onke amandla akulo [Heaven and all the power in there] IKheobime neSerafime [A Cherubim and a Seraphin] Zimana zimemeza kuwe [Always call on you] Uyingcwele uyingcwele [You're holy, you're holy] Uyingcwele Yehova [You're holy Jehova] Thixo wemikhosi [God of all tribes] Izulu lizele kwanomhlaba [The heaven and earth are filled] Bubukhulu nobungcwalisa bakho [With your greatness and your holyness]
Born, baptized and raised in Methodist church ( eWesile) Born again at pentecostal holiness church. But till today wesile gets me all the time through many songs especially my parents ones. When it comes to siyakudumisa Thixo, I am telling you my Xhosa nation really bring tears in my eyes. No people singing siyakudumisa and no matter what key 🗝, they will bring you God to like them when singing these worshipping song. These people are truly spiritual. God bless you all fellas 💫🙏
Siyakudumisa Thixo wethu. Thanks so much for this awesome African and South African spiritual anthem. Whenever I hear this Spiritual Anthem I feel the presence of Our Heavenly Father so intensely. I was raised in the African Methodist Tradition. This hymn takes me to the heart of our Heavenly Father, where I feel we all belong. We are all created in the image and the likeness of Our Heavenly Father and Mother. God creates in variety and colour. We all belong to one race. The Human Race.We are created with honour and glory.
To me, this hymn seems to be a contract with the supreme being or powers. It also seems to be a pledge by those who sing it, subjecting themselves to accountability and scrutiny. Powerful🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Heaven on earth, I can't wait to see JESUS, YESHUA HAMASHIACH THE SOON COMING KING, praising him day and night at his feet. HALLELUJAH GLORY TO THE MOST HIGH GOD AMEN.
The body of Christ, irrespective of creed, needs this. This is going a long way in keeping our souls at par with our heavenly spirit beings throughout this Covid -19 lock down period whilst the church gatherings are prohibited. Silondoloze Bawo nangale mini singabi nasono!!!
I was baptised Methodist,Confirmed Methodist and I have since converted to my African religion many years ago...but this song brings back those early memories in church
