Hah you never know what you’ll find in a library besides books. Great places. The explanation about not filming people without their permission was interesting and nice you respected other people. Wish it was like that here! Look fwd to the next vid.
Thanks for sharing your lovely town. I went through Selfoss when I was in Iceland and really liked the town and wanted to spend more time there. I appreciate you showing us around. What time did you film this? There don't seem to be very many people around.
Hey! This is my mom’s account and we just found your channel via your Icelandic citizenship test video. We’re both from America and are interested in moving to Iceland (hence why we were looking up things about Icelandic citizenship tests). We looked through your channel and these videos are a huge help already. One question, though: How long did you live here before you took the test and how exactly do you begin to get into Iceland or is there a video for this? Thanks, Sally.
Hi Sally! Thanks for watching 😊 So for me it was easier to move here because I came before Brexit and had EU citizenship at the time I arrived, it would be much harder for to move here today. I've been trying to get someone who moved here without EU citizenship to interview on this channel but it's quite difficult to find someone willing to share their story on TH-cam unfortunately! As far as I'm aware the 3 main avenues you can use to move here are; having a special education and experience in a field that's needed here, studying at a university here, or marrying an Icelander. There may be other ways to move here that I'm not aware of. There are a couple of TH-cam channels run by Americans who live in Iceland who may be able to help you. 'All things Iceland' and 'Iceland with a View' are the names of the channels. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful! I hope you get the information you need and have the chance to move here ❤️
Hmmm. I thought that I had commented on this video the other day but I don't see it there. Thanks for another fun walk around Selfoss. Such a lovely town. I wanted to ask what are the structures that I can see on Google Maps' satellite view on the southeast side of town. They appear to be a large number of multi-unit houses (2-5 dwellings per building.)
I think you also commented on my other Selfoss walking tour video so that might be why you don't see it on this video 🙂 Are the buildings in the video? If so could you tell me what time they appear in the video please so I can see what the buildings are. They are most likely apartment blocks
@@LoppyLoves Alas, the buildings would have possibly shown up just after your jump cut around the horse farm (they are immediately south of the horse farm.) You are likely correct that they are likely apartment blocks - I am just not familiar with this sort of layout for apartments (I'm more familiar with the multi-floor style of apartments.) There is a large number (>100) buildings, each seems to contain 2-5 units. Apartment buildings makes sense - I had been wondering it might be some sort of camping/vacation housing or something like that.
A nice walking tour Lauren. Atmospheric, sensory and gave us an insight into Selfoss at this time of year. Thank you.
Thanks for watching Susan 😊
Thanks for the walk! It looks lovely. Really pretty buildings. I’d have been straight into the library
I keep meaning to go to the library here, I've never been even though I've lived in this town for almost 6 years!
Thanks for watching 😊
Yes I would have also gone into the library.

Thanks for watching 😊 I started the walk at around 8:30am on a Sunday morning, not many people are out before noon on weekends
❤Perfect, timing!😊 I quite like this vlog. Lots of interesting information. What was the temperature?
Hope you enjoy the video! 😊
It's not too cold today, around 3°C
@@LoppyLovesThank you! That's still okay😊
My hometown born and raised. Not lived there for 20 years and now in Sweden, this really gives me a lot of childhood memories these streets.
Thanks for watching! I often watch gimbal walks of my hometown too which also gives me a lot of childhood memories, very nostalgic 🙂

I have been there in November 2022 and should go back again sometimes !
Enjoy this Sunday, 18th of February 2024 !
Did you enjoy your time here? Thanks for watching!
ładne miasto (nie napiszę po angielsku, bo nie jestem Anglikiem)
Dzięki za oglądanie! (Mam nadzieję, że jest to napisane poprawnie, użyłem Tłumacza Google 😅)
