Music too is extremely important to my writing process. And Romancing the Beat is such a good Romance Outline Craft Book and a pretty easy system to blend with other outline methods if your are adding a few subplots or to use to weave in a romance subplot to your book. Really great video Natalia!
I have a couple of those books and I swear by the Save the Cat method. I joined the Writing Academy and the videos are even better. I literally watch the structure videos every time I'm sitting down to prep a new outline.
I have been wanting the Conflict Thesaurus for a long time (big fan of the Emotional Thesaurus) and you've officially convinced me that I need it in my library now!
This was so helpful because I'm working on a romance right now! I already have Romancing the Beat, I might have to check out the others. I also have to seriously get an outlining method that works for me because it used to take me like 2 drafts to get the whole story on the page. This is the kick in the rear I needed lol. Thanks for the video!
I'm still finding my outlining process, and, although romance is not the genre that I'm writing most of my books in, I am writing a couple of romance novels, so this video is very helpful. Thank you, Natalia!
This was an incredibly helpful video! Thank you for sharing the link to the 27 chapter structure video. I ordered The Universal Fantasy list just now. I’ve read Seven Figure Fiction and underlined most of the book, so I’m looking forward to this one. 😀
Been following your journey for a few years now! This video was perfectly timed as I will be embarking on my first editing process this month! I bought STCWAN and plan to read through it before starting to vlog my editing process at the end of this month! :)
I want to have and use an outline. I’m bookmarking this so I can read after work-but I’m hoping this will help me get to the finish line. I can imagine the story in my mind, but once I start putting pen to paper the “how we get from a to b” becomes a mountain I find hard to climb. 😅
I have Romancing the Beat, Save The Cat & many more craft books, including all of the Emotional Thesaurus series! Got an eBook of Romance Tropes! I’m a Plantser, but I’m trying to outline a bit while rewriting my teleplay (miniseries)! Btw, the green walls in my room is similar to how your room appears on camera! (Maybe it’s different irl?)
Great stuff. I love the sketch book idea. I've thought of it myself, but then you confirmed the idea of it. haven't read 7 figure author yet, but i'll give it a try. I don't know if you've read it, but Story Equation by Susan May Warren was a life changer for me. Best book on character/ story creation. Give it a look if you haven't read it yet. I got the kindle version and the audible as well. Happy writing.
I just outline each chapter as I write that way when I do find a publisher, the publisher has the outline already. Besides, I haven’t written in published a book yet I’m just starting.
I've started doing an ACT 1 outline, write act 1. Then outline ACT 2, then write ACT 2, etc. I've always struggled to finish books so I decided to try this method. I'll have to keep you posted on how well this works haha
Thank you for your video on writing and outlining, Natalia, you raised a few good points. I have the conflict thesaurus too, just part one. Using ''Screenwriting Tricks for Authors'' by Alexandra Sokoloff helped me with outlining and structuring my novel. And lastly, ''Story Genius'' by Lisa Cron helped me think about my characters before writing. I had joined the Writing Academy with Jessica Brody and learned a lot. But I guess we all pick our favourite craft books. Oh, I almost forgot, I use ''Romancing the Beat'' by Gwen Hayes too which is the best book for romance writing.

Commenting before watching. Have been looking forward to this, so thanks! Btw, you look great in red!
I hope you find it helpful! And thank you! Just picked up that dress at the thrift store, and I love it. 🥰

Great book recommendations!
YT randomly recommended this video to me, maybe it's a sign to actually write that book Ive been thinking about 🤔
Definitely a sign! 🤭
DID YOU START? you need to do it RIGHT NOW

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll add that one to my TBR!
Tnx for this video❤️
Do you make your paperback and hardcover books using the same font, font size and trim size? What do you find is the best font to use? Thanks

Nice
Can I send you my manuscript for feedback?

You're just talking. You're not showing anything.
