      You are welcome. I think what you have to say is so valuable (and you have a nice voice) no music is really necessary. Plus, you have those entertaining little breaks with the movie clips. Simple is better?

    Thank you for the video! I usually use the 3 Act Story Structure (well like half cause I also like to pants some things, but I enjoy having at least a rough outline with some key moments written / ideas that won't leave my brain alone), but I was really struggling with doing with a romance story as I'm usually a fantasy / sci-fi kind of gal with drops of romance thrown in.
    For my own reference (or whoever else wants/needs):
    1:09 Meet Cute
    3:32 Rejection of Love
    4:42 Give This A Chance
    5:31 Three Dates & A Disaster
    6:45 Temporarily Together
    7:24 Falling For You
    8:45 The Breakup
    10:20 The Sacrifice
    11:36 The Big Declaration
    13:45 The Happily Ever After

    Great video, Lisa!!! Cant wait to get Single-Minded, it sounds awesome!! And Pride & Prejudice is my guilty pleasure (Ive seen every version, even the zombies one!).

      @BestsellingAuthorLisaDaily  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sio Savy! I'm so glad you liked it! Pride & Prejudice is one of my all-time favorites as well! I liked the Zombie book, but the movie ticked me off because they CHANGED some of the best lines of dialogue. You don't mess with Jane Austen, right? The answer to your question, can you find success in romance when your own love life is tragic??? YES!!! Plenty of writers have! 😂 The great thing about being a writer is that if you can't find your dream girl or dream guy, you can just create one from scratch. 😂😂😂 #bookboyfriendsrule 💙

    Thank you so much for this it really helps.
    Difficult one here can you help at all? I have a romance trilogy here so the whole act structure makes sense across the whole 3 books however it's about book 1
    Book one needs to end with a dark moment (so I feel anyway)
    She's run away (as is typical for her character flaw) after finding out he's been keeping a secret from her. She is adamant that he was only with her because he had something to be gained for his police case , but despite this actually being his original plan, he genuinely fell in love with her and is gutted that she has called it off. He wants to explain and they agree to meet in a neutral spot to talk because despite everything, she doesn't want to be without him.
    Of course that doesn't go ahead because something happens to him that stops him getting there in time. She leaves the restaurant adamant that it's over but the reader can see what has happened to the police officer and should (if I do a good job) feel sorry for him.
    Is it okay to leave it there? Will my readers likely be annoyed or wanting to buy the next book?
    I planned to have book 2 with her eating ice cream and not getting out of her pj's for day or two and him banging on the door.
    It's only when she opens the door and sees his face that she realises that he might be telling the truth so with any luck readers will get a sense of wanting them to be together.

    • @BestsellingAuthorLisaDaily
      @BestsellingAuthorLisaDaily  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Such a good question, Gemma! What kind of release schedule are you planning for the trilogy? My answer depends on what you're planning :-)

    • @thenewbiegardeneruk4575
      @thenewbiegardeneruk4575 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BestsellingAuthorLisaDaily as a reader I hate having to wait for the next book so preferably I'd like write them all at once and then release all together.
      The other reason is because I have had this novel in my head for a little under 7 years and I don't want to put any unnecessary pressure on myself.
      So in short. They'll all be released together around the spring of 2022- all being well.

    Can you do a video covering inner dialogue and narration that is so important in contemporary romance? I've always been a very fast-paced writer focused on dialogue and action and this doesn't fit in romance, I don't know how to slow down and just write from my character's heads. I try and it's like nothing comes to mind.

    How can this work for a duology or trilogy?
    Would you have this structure for the whole story, but then each book also have this structure within?
    I'm so close to writing my story but as a pantser I worry that I'm over talking, or saying too much too soon. This will help me to pace and get by.
    Thank you so much for your help Lisa ❤
