Hello beautiful. Loved your presentation. I have a question for ya...can I use maple syrup instead of karo? Ive seen this method done in other videos... some also use regular pancake syrup as well...lol have you ever tried with maple? If so is there a difference in taste? Any help appreciated
Yes you can but it can get a little sweet. The half dark and light Karo is used to reduce the candy like taste as found with some other recipes. Thanks for watching!!
Thank you for posting such a nice video with clear easy to follow directions. At age 60, I just put my first-ever pecan pie in the oven. It looks and smells good and I have high hopes of enjoying it with my family tomorrow (Thanksgiving), thanks to you. Thanks to Covid and smaller gatherings this year, the sister-in-law who usually brings very good pecan pies is not coming. Yours looks incredible! Happy Thanksgiving.
