I started building a Shelving unit in all my bases that have ceilings at half wall height. If you have access to both sides of the "shelf" you can put a total of 12 chests in a 1x1x1 foundation area. It was originally possible to do 16, but I think a patch "fixed" overlapping chests. I use these shelves for storage rooms or houses in each of my builds. And I've been teaching all the players on my server how to make them.
One of your recent videos made me remenber about this one. I just realized I forgot to give a Like here so I give it today. You kept working and giving us good information for so long... Thanks so much!
I remember that glitch exploit that any thrall or pet could carry an infinite number of a resource . That got fixed, maybe if they see your this is gonna get fixed too.
Probably will stop us from placing things in the dismantle section that can't be dismantled. In truth I would not use an exploit like this because it breaks the immersion of the gaming experience simulating it's own reality. The simulation aspect is supposed to require more space for more items. Which in itself presents more of a challenge and with a greater challenge comes a more satisfying payoff when it is accomplished. That said, they need to fix the placement mechanics of the animal pen because it is somewhat anticlimactic.
I've used my dismantling bench for overflow storage, but I never knew that the top part (dismantling queue) could hold that much stuff. My only concern with storing valuable stuff in those areas is that, if Funcom ever decides to patch that exploit, all of the stuff stored in those zones could just go away one day.
I don't drag and drop to transfer stuff, I shift click. This is very dangerous with the dismantling bench. I've dismantled 10 sand storm masks so far, because of over click. That extra storage is so hard to search one row at a time. It is a large volume. I typically have large chests in a 2x1x5 per foundation x 2 walls high. I organize stuff by station, Furnace first. I've toured bases on all types of servers. And I typically see no storage per station or one large chest. In the early game most players feel that iron reinforcements are too expensive to make for large chests. Same goes for shaped wood, since T4s can make it cheaper, they wait. By the time the have all T4 crafting thralls, they are making steel, and only steel reinforcements. There should have been a steel reinforcement chest. Again PvP, PvE-C, & PvE all I ever see in 10 to 20 large chests. They are never full or organize, nothing more than junk drawers. I'm level 36 on a PvE-C in a starter T2 base 4x4x3, I have 50 large chests. Only 30 are full. They aren't single resource chests yet, that only happens after level 50 in T3 structure.
I've always been partial to the cabinets, I like standing them side by side but I'm bit of a horder which means I'm always looking for the best hiding places 🤣
@@jacquesalas4294 I don't remember the early access recipe, but cupboards used to be cheaper to make. But three other people couldn't stand their size, and inability to stack them. If anyone is able to safely use this then more power to them. How many cupboards do you typically have in the three stages of leveling, starting, middle and end?
if you want to store items that will dismantle in there,, stop the dismantling, if you are afraid it will start upp again, have something you dont care much for as first item, danger is if you are lagging or disconect when moving items, just use one for storage only and one for dismantling.
I never bothered to fill up the bench. Good to know. Vaults are just a display of obnoxious space hogging, that's the reason why players raid or destroy them in PVP.
I usaly use storage space in great wheel of pain. Not that is most eficient, but if i have some thrall farming setup and get alot of steel or other heavy items i store them there or i use the dismantle bench for that. Never thout there is a cap on dismantle, because there was never need to store outside base that much :D
Q: Everyone, I have a T4 exile fighter level 9 (wanderer static spawn), that I feed 2x50 stacks of grilled steak (+14% chance vitality). I feed the level 0 T4 fighters and archers cooked unappetizing shellfish from a thrall pot. My T4 fighter is constantly taking the cooked unappetizing shellfish even if we are very far from the thrall pot. Is there any fix, besides only filling thrall pot with grilled steak? Fyi, Savoury flesh is needed for both a pet and thrall. I can only level one each at a time. The level zeros get Savoury fish or shellfish. The thrall pot gets the cooked unappetizing shellfish (ichor by product). The wheels get Exotic fish & shellfish.
Try filling the rest of the inventory slots on the thrall you want to eat steak with plant fiber or some other non consumable so it will not have the inventory space to grab the fish.
If you fill all your level 9 thrall's inventory slots it shouldn't be able to steal food from the thrall pot. Thrall pots have only a relatively small feeding radius (wiki says 25 foundations). If your thrall is managing to get food from it at a greater distance, then file a bug report.
Feed thrall individually, don't use thrall pot. If thralls aren't being used the food will stay in inventory. This way you can control the growth of each thrall. I used to waste time constantly filling the feeder with no real result. Now I put any food source in thrall inventory and it won't go bad. When it's time for thrall to be used I go into their inventory take out food put back in and plus 14 % and their ready to go. Thralls won't starve to death, having food in their inventory tho will be available if health regeneration is needed
@@dlwatib Thrall pot was at H4, I traveled to D9. He had an ax, shield, stack of foundations, and 2x stacks of grilled steak. I checked him twice after fights and found 1 cooked unappetizing shellfish in a sixth slot.
@@mattmoxley1669 Will try this. I had followers die to wandering one skull mobs, so Im hesitant not to keep feeding. This might not happen if 12 hours, but it can happen if not on for 36 hours.
Wow my mind is blown 😳 🤯. In pve if you miss your decay timer your stuff is able to be destroyed by other players and stolen so always make sure you check in on your bases.
Been using dismantling for my chest since it came out lol. Damn now everyone gonnna be using my trick. Plus people just leave my dismantling bench when they raid. And I have my good shit in there. Now people gon be looking in here smh

I doubt that would happen funcom is to lazy it would take months before they decided to even look at it 🤣🤣🤣
hehe, wakowonk, this was the first thing I thought of when i made my first dismantling bench,, hmm, "i wonder how many items i can put in there?"

Artisan = 40 wood. More storage than small wooden box. Funcom logic.
Yeah I always use artisan tables for storage early game, extremely cheap and a decent amount of storage
Amazing content bro keep it up (:

Great tip. I've found that certain mod items wont dismantle so that could be a great storage unit for those items

Doesn't the server reset remove everything? I sometimes drop items in there that cant be dismanteled. Those item are usually gone the next day

I did use this during raiding someones base. Just because you cant pickup vaults.
But just a tad squishy... One PvP treb-strike later and there's one enormous bag in your base :)
Lol u tryna treb for 30 mins straight
Thanks for the tip!
Large boxes can be partialy stack in each other. So in 3layers we have big storage space. And much more easy
