Wow! The over water approach was a change from the steady descent over the city. And I remember touching down after a flight from London Heathrow to Los Angeles and we got towed in because we were early and the other jet had not departed. And the TBIT hadn't been renovated in August 2003.

Good video. Fly on once with the AKL-LAX route with Delta last DEC, the gate (both departure and arrival) and food seem to be exactly the same!!

Why it land on the departure runway not other side runway pass I-405 fwy why it landed on the ocean side
Usually for noise abetment. Prior to 7am all flights arriving to LAX must land on Runway 6 and depart from runway 25 to avoid flying over the city as part of the procedures

@@seanhoang1227 normal ops unless weather says otherwise. 24R or 25L are usually the arriving runways from 0700-2359
