I used to get really really drunk and take bathes while watching youtube videos with my current phone. Needless to say, this thing has been dunked MANY times.
Gotta say though, its got 0 issues despite that. LG wasnt kidding when they said this thing is water proof. Only issue dropping it in water caused is that the headphone jack wouldnt work until it dried. Which is kinda unavoidable
There's sounds that help get water out of your speakers not sure if it works for the jack though

I mean, even if you can't focus on heavy customization I'd still argue android is better for the simple fact that there's a lot of straight up free apps and open source apps that you can download and install but most of all, freaking chargers, when I had my iPhone that shit would break all the time, and from all of the android using phones I've had so far, I've only managed to break a little bit of the gorilla glass, of the first phone I bought glass for, the rest absolutely not a single scratch... iPhone on the other hand
I have a Samsung galaxy, its a cheap model tho, free with cricket and I like it, I've dropped it so many times and it's not damaged, no case at all
I remember getting my first iPhone around iOS 8 and I was young and dumb and came so close to putting it in the microwave but thankfully I had half a brain and thought “I can’t put metal in the microwave and my phone is metal so I probably shouldn’t put my phone in there.”
Ps I also remember the drill thing but at that point I was old enough to know outright that it was bullshit.
Man i know that there are some many stupid people in the world but who puts his phone in his back pocket these things aren't cheap

Man...4chan is the biggest internet troll gathering website ever. Some trolls on that site go beyond normal trolling and I love it. They're the kind of trolls who take someone's profile picture, photoshop it and send it to every website they can find.

I mean, Apple users don't tend to be the most technologically literate people, but I find it astounding that people believed a software update could make their phone water-proof. As far as people believing a microwave could charge their batteries, that is bloody unreal. Wow! lol

My phone is water proof, I even plopped it under a river while filming. No issue whatsoever.

always pay close attention on the wording of such features. Water resistant only means that you can have it out in the rain and nothing is going to happen, but water proof usually means up to single digit meters underwater (not including soapy water since it's lowered surface tension like milk will get it into the smallest of gaps.
I myself use a Cat S61 (Caterpiller joined up with a smartphone manufacturer and made a big phone that has a lot of nice features if you are a construction worker, electricion, ... the works:
- has three buttons that can be used in glove mode to navigate you phone if it is submerged or would overwise have trouble detecting your fingers on the thouchscreen.
- A FLIR thermal camera
- A VOC-sensor for the atmosphere (VOCs or volatile organic compounds are chemicals with a boiling point beneath room temperature. These tend to often be harmful in higher concentrations, like formaldehyde.
- A "laser rangefinder" in quotes since it is a very bare bone version using the parallax effect to determine the range to the target by counting the pixels the laser is away on an image from the point it would be in infinity. It is a useful tool to make measurements at or in buildings though (anything up to 12 meters I would say)
- The phone does not need an extra protective case nor some fancy always breaking screen protection. It is a beefy phone that can handle impacts quite well.

Watch Louis Rossmann he's on YT and he repairs Apple products. He covers a lot of skullfuckery Apple does to their customers and third party repair shops watch "Genius Bar caught ripping customer off ON CAMERA by CBC news". The Genius at the bar tells a reporter his new laptop is too expensive to repair Rossmann repairs the laptop on camera in a couple of minutes for free. The report goes on to show Apple intentially makes their products hard to repair to encourage more sales. Also there are waterproof phones my first smartph was a Kyocera HydroVIBE it worked great the ports didn't have rubber plugs they were just waterproof. I had it in the top tray of a cooler while fishing rough water bumped it out of the tray and into the ice water. I noticed it in the water when I got my next beer and it still worked fine.

Apple products are overpriced and trash lol. You can pay some pro to make your own custom pc or laptop that's like 10x better and cheaper. Apple also limits the users because most Apple products only work with other Apple products which means it isn't universal... you can't use Apple products with a Sony, Toshiba or Samsung products while every other products can be used with each other while it's a different brand name. It's a trick to make you buy more Apple products to make you spend more of your money on overpriced low tech garbage just so you can stay connected with everything. All in all Apple is just a brand name and most people who buy them don't know how to build a pc or don't play any games or just don't know anything about tech in general and just buy it because everyone else has it.
