That suppressor looks too puny for 8mm Mauser round. In comparison with real rifle suppressors of the era it's too small, let alone the fact that there is no point in keeping suppressed Kar98 on the observation post behind the lines.

Liberal game designers and Hollywood calls them silencers. They are suppressors. You are correct, a suppressor needs to be paired with subsonic ammo for the full effect. It will drastically reduce the decibel level when both are used. However, smaller calibers tend to maximize the decibel level best. That is a .323 caliber so the total decibel reduction wouldn't be anywhere close to something like a 5.56mm, 9mm or 5.7mm ammo.

I am never getting this game. The designers can't seem to get anything right. There's so many games out there I do not like just because they traded pretty graphics for improved physics. That's not to say the physics haven't improved, they have just not as well as they should be.
