For 304 pts I could field 4 full lances of Locusts. I really want to see what that looks like some day. And dang, with that standard attack roll, the game goes FAST. I just noticed the video was only 36 minutes. The paint schemes on both forces is top shelf.

As a MW clanner who is after 28 years FINALLY getting into BT I am intrigued by the Taurians and the Wolverines aka MN Tribe. By any chance could they have integrated into the Taurians or what is the source material for these Wolverines?
Love every time you bust out the BT whatever version! Wow tho playing 2d6 and no variable damage is FAAAST!

No D12s and variable damage this game? Why the change back to standard Alpha?
I don't mind the dice, but I really do enjoy variable damage more to the direct full-damage on hit basic approach. Still a very entertaining game.
@@sebastiang.5032 Yeah great vid. It's the one aspect of Alpha Strike I disliked, the default damage system. It made for too many all of nothing situations, and many mechs just evaporated, especially lights and mediums, which lead to a distinctly non Battletech vibe. The variable damage system makes it feel more Btechy. I especially like Ash's D12 system, it turned my opinion of Alpha Strike around to something I would play.
What happened to the D12's? After your video, our group took a look at it and now only play with D12's. I thought you made an excellent case for owning your hobby.
D12s massively skew the game
I think Ash had mentioned in another video that Les had preferred the original Alpha Strike rules.
That model is absolutely a Loki / Hellbringer and not a Thor / Summoner.

I don't play alphastrike. Can anyone explain why one player had a ton of rerolls?
When you qualify for a certain lance composition it can unlock unit-wide Special Pilot Skills. In this case the Battle Lance gains the Lucky SPA which is re-rolls equal to the unit size+2 that can be used over the course of the game.

Entertaining Battle. But Speed Demon does not confer a -1 Target number.
Noticed that too, was looking to see if anyone caught that. Also forward observer still incurs the +1 spotter penalty, just not an additional +1 if the spotter attacks.
