Some of you may have seen this one before, but now presented to you with massively enhanced audio. =]
Poland, what a marvelous place!
Filmed this one in Łódź, Krakow, Katowice & Rzesow, with audio from the album 'World War Live' recorded in Łódź.
The gig in Łódź was on the Polish independence day. The audiences response to the opening track 40:1 and Mullback entering the stage waving the Polish flag was astounding . With fans like that, my job as cameraman and editor are made significantly easyer and so more fun =]

coming to poland and playing 40:1 as an Intro ... you guys know how to win a crowd :D
I suppose playing Ghost Division would be in poor style :D
40:1 as the intro, Winged Hussars as the closer 👌
@@JonathanLundkvist Well, Ghost Division was the invasion of France, not Poland.
Jonathan Lundkvist they did play ghost division as an intro in France
I remember that gig. Didn't attend it though, seen them live day after. Thing is, that very one - on video - took place on 11th of November, which is our Independence Day in Poland. Every other gig starts with Ghost Division
The Polish are some of bravest warriors in European history. Respect from an old US soldier.

Respects from Finland to Poland. We both took on a overhelming army and we defended our land to the last man
Sorry but may I ask: defended from who?
@@ivankravchenko8920 The Soviet army in the Winter War. Finland only had 32 tanks and 114 aircraft, while the Russians had some ~3000 tanks and ~4000 aircraft.
@@madichelp0 Finland had nazi allies and idiots in diplomatic department
@@ivankravchenko8920 Not sure what you're trying to get at but the Winter War ended before their alliance with Germany. At this point Germany still tried to keep peace with the Soviet Union, and would not allow volunteers going to Finland to travel though.
@@madichelp0 Germany? Tried to keep peace?! Are u crazy?
I don't have any Polish blood in me. But this song make me wish I did!!!! Nothing but respect for Poland!!!
Thanks
pramudito polishness never was or isn't about genetics. some of our greatest patriots were not Polish by blood. it's in the hart and soul man. come visit. you'll understand.
Thats the stupidest thing ive ever seen
if you have relatives from any country that borders poland then you might actually be, the border shifted constantly up until the 1900's, then one patricular assfuck in '39 decided to try and take it all... the world showed him.
My mother was born in and grew up in Poland, my father is irish background and i was born in Australia. I grew up only really knowing the polish side of my family and went to polish school etc. I act and think and eat more polish than people i know who are full polish blood living in australia.
I agree with first reply. Polish is a state of mind and a way of life, not genetics. Look at the Polish tartars. They are turkic but have thrown themselves in with poland every time they have been at war for 700 years. Even against other turkic people. They are as polish as pope John paul. Poles love freedom as much as americans, you have one step completed
Poland Stronk.
Respect from Chile.

F Bulnes Thanks

Respect for Poland from Norway
Thanks^^
How so many forget that Poland contributed heavily to the American War for Independence. From your brothers in the states, we salute you!
Thanks my frend
Respect also from Norway! Can't wait to visit Poland soon! Very good people
As a German, I’ve nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for the polish people!
The soldiers shook his hand XD.
And this is what we need in the U.S.
You and the rest of the allies betrayed us, so nah, no you don't.
It may be a year late in replying, but the betrayal came at the end of the war when we let the Soviets take countries that had been part of the old Russian empire, like Poland, rather than standing up to Stalin. Of course they may have assumed the cooperation durign the war would carry on rather than the cold war we actually got.
At the start of the war the allies were letting themselves down.
It wasnt so much of "we" as it was the "Democrat Party", many of the generals (MacArthur, Patton, Eisenhower) wanted to keep marching to Moscow to end the problem before it started. But FDR trusted the Mustachioed Georgian.. FDR was not as smart as people remember..
KoopasRevengeHome FDR was smart-there was no way, that the US troops stationed in Europe would be able to compare to all the Soviets in Europe.
+This would mean, that another, probably even deadlier war would start right after World War 2 had just ended
Radyslaw- We(U.S.)didn’t betray you. Britian and France did, they had a signed treaty with Poland. We were neutral. We didn’t even enter the war until ‘41 and only because Japan attacked us.
If there is any fifth element in nature, it must be Polish will to fight and win in the glory. These people will survive the hardest storms.
much respect to Poland from the USA. So sad that the world turned its back on you in '39 Regardless you still have a great history, polish resistance in WW2 and one of my favorite historical battles, the battle of Vienna!
my lad america turned its back on all of europe...

Władysław Raginis was a Polish commander during the Battle of Wizna. He then said that he would either win or die at the battle site. Unfortunately, the Poles lost this battle, but Raginis fulfilled his promise. He died after the battle, exploding with a grenade on September 10, 1939

Absolute respect to Poland and their warriors. The history and this song complement each other in a mighty powerful way! Though IMO, that certain video, that for now has 7k views, has this energy even more powerful!
Knowing the hell Poles experienced under communism, not being told about this event, I thank the Soldiers who gave the innocent a fighting chance against all odds. I'm British, but mad respect to Poland.
When the Polish Army held against the Nazis, the Nazis didn't see mere Polish soldiers. They saw the Polish Winged Hussars arriving.

@@flarepyro i thought the french were the ones who were falsely shown as surrendering pushovers, not polish
@@mrchocolatebean8878 Well the polish to.
You know the stereotype that Polish people are stupid? It's because of ww2. Poland at the start of WW2 still had cavalry units. These units although they knew it was futile still charged the Germans even if they were in tanks because they couldn't bear the thought of leaving their homes undefended. The stereotype came about when the Nazis saw polish Calvary charging their tanks and thinking the Polish must be stupid to do so. They saw an act of bravery as one of stupidity and told the world about it to gloat over the Polish and unfortunately it stuck.
That's at least the story that has been passed down in my family.

Poland first to fight
+gronek90 Poland, first to feel the wrath of the reich...but the last to fall from it.
+John Bloodrose Pretty sure Poland surrendered in mere month...
During II WW Poland had two allies which betrayed, these allies are France and England. In spite of this infidelity, of numerical superiority and technological of enemy all the time we fought. On 17 September Germans got such a thud that hadn't known what was happening, 17 September 1939 we were attacked from the other side by Stalin and the Red Army, only in so was broken our defence and Hitler managed to enter to Poland. The part of our beaten army got to Hungary but next to France and England. But Poles to the end of the war didn't surrender, came into existence \ "the Podziemnies \" and a guerrilla warfare lasted. Polish soldiers changed fates of the Battle for England what Englishmen are saying in English rather than in German thanks to, and England isn't a colony of Germany. And to it Polish soldiers for the end of the war captured Berlin shoulder to shoulder with Russians. If our \ "Allies \" fulfilled the alliance the war finished it in order to oneself as many as 1939. Having such allies enemies aren't needed
Uhhh, hey, Kevin. You realize that poland was facing impossible odds and its "Allies" never even sent soldiers, just tried to prepare the failed french defensive line.
John Bloodrose I know. But still they are not the last to fall. They are actually the first to fall. The surrender and fall of Poland was the cause that triggers the British to move their forces to the mainland. Without the fall of Poland, British won't make their move. So yeah I don't understand where your "last to fall" statement comes from.
No band except sabaton has the ability to make you shed tears for soldiers of a different country , respect.
respect to my polish brothers in our struggle against the globalists! from the UK - 40-1!

i heard Sabaton run through the basics of this battle, and after crunching the numbers, the ratio wasn't actually 40:1 . . . it was well over 55:1! I send a massive salute to all those brave soldiers!

Respect and love to Poland from 🇨🇦 💪. Ill drink with you anyday brothers.
If Sabaton ever makes a song about some heroic Dutch fight (there aren't many, I think), I'll certainly go to their concert. This looks AWESOME.
This is why I think more bands need to record their live performances. So many great concerts are only seen from grainy fan phones and the audio is just too much for a phone's microphone.
4:41 is about the closest a Swastika has ever gotten to Germany since the 40s.
No band or singer will ever be get a reaction like this from a crowd except for Sabaton. They sing about something more ingrained in people than the trash most sing about. They sing of love for country and the people who lay down their lives to protect it, even if the fight ends up being futile.

Very good song. Love from Poland....
The historical facts show that in battle of Wizna the number of Polish soldiers was between 335 and 635.
The data is not precised but independent historians agree that they weren't many more than 500 to 525 a maximum, considering over 40.000 (40.800) strong German Wehrmacht so the real ratio was around 80: 1 Not 40: 1 then. 👊💯🙂🇵🇱👍
That’s right. I noticed that too. The actual ratio was more like 80 to 1
Thank you Sabaton, and thank you Poland!!
May the world emulate the courage and strength of the Polish people. Been surrounded by the Nazis on one side and the Solviets on the other instead of accepting defeat it was better to die as Iron Maiden put it..."with your boots on" than giving up.... greetings from America...

Me, as a German, cant understand why everybody has to talk about this time. I am not proud of this and I want to forget this time. Youre right, everybody who served SS etc. was German, but not everyone was a Nazi. When you were against Hitler you were arrested or killed and when you fought for him you had the little chance to survive. What would you take? I think the little chance to spend the rest of your life with your family.
