    Some of you may have seen this one before, but now presented to you with massively enhanced audio. =]
    Poland, what a marvelous place!
    Filmed this one in Łódź, Krakow, Katowice & Rzesow, with audio from the album 'World War Live' recorded in Łódź.
    The gig in Łódź was on the Polish independence day. The audiences response to the opening track 40:1 and Mullback entering the stage waving the Polish flag was astounding . With fans like that, my job as cameraman and editor are made significantly easyer and so more fun =]

I grew up only really knowing the polish side of my family and went to polish school etc. I act and think and eat more polish than people i know who are full polish blood living in australia.
      I agree with first reply. Polish is a state of mind and a way of life, not genetics. Look at the Polish tartars. They are turkic but have thrown themselves in with poland every time they have been at war for 700 years. Even against other turkic people. They are as polish as pope John paul. @dorianleakey 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It may be a year late in replying, but the betrayal came at the end of the war when we let the Soviets take countries that had been part of the old Russian empire, like Poland, rather than standing up to Stalin. Of course they may have assumed the cooperation durign the war would carry on rather than the cold war we actually got.
      At the start of the war the allies were letting themselves down.

      It wasnt so much of "we" as it was the "Democrat Party", many of the generals (MacArthur, Patton, Eisenhower) wanted to keep marching to Moscow to end the problem before it started. But FDR trusted the Mustachioed Georgian.. FDR was not as smart as people remember..

    • @vasilykovalenko697
      @vasilykovalenko697 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      KoopasRevengeHome FDR was smart-there was no way, that the US troops stationed in Europe would be able to compare to all the Soviets in Europe.
      +This would mean, that another, probably even deadlier war would start right after World War 2 had just ended

    • @ravenzyblack
      @ravenzyblack 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Radyslaw- We(U.S.)didn’t betray you. Britian and France did, they had a signed treaty with Poland. We were neutral. We didn’t even enter the war until ‘41 and only because Japan attacked us.

      @@mrchocolatebean8878 Well the polish to.
      You know the stereotype that Polish people are stupid? It's because of ww2. Poland at the start of WW2 still had cavalry units. These units although they knew it was futile still charged the Germans even if they were in tanks because they couldn't bear the thought of leaving their homes undefended. The stereotype came about when the Nazis saw polish Calvary charging their tanks and thinking the Polish must be stupid to do so. They saw an act of bravery as one of stupidity and told the world about it to gloat over the Polish and unfortunately it stuck.
      That's at least the story that has been passed down in my family.

    i bet the energy of the crowd during this song was amazing in Poland. and damn, Sabaton actually sound a lot meatier live than i expected... on album the "metal" aspects actually take a bit of a back seat but here they're more audible

      During II WW Poland had two allies which betrayed, these allies are France and England. In spite of this infidelity, of numerical superiority and technological of enemy all the time we fought. On 17 September Germans got such a thud that hadn't known what was happening, 17 September 1939 we were attacked from the other side by Stalin and the Red Army, only in so was broken our defence and Hitler managed to enter to Poland. The part of our beaten army got to Hungary but next to France and England. But Poles to the end of the war didn't surrender, came into existence \ "the Podziemnies \" and a guerrilla warfare lasted. Polish soldiers changed fates of the Battle for England what Englishmen are saying in English rather than in German thanks to, and England isn't a colony of Germany. And to it Polish soldiers for the end of the war captured Berlin shoulder to shoulder with Russians. If our \ "Allies \" fulfilled the alliance the war finished it in order to oneself as many as 1939. Having such allies enemies aren't needed

    • @kurtberliner7049
      @kurtberliner7049 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Uhhh, hey, Kevin. You realize that poland was facing impossible odds and its "Allies" never even sent soldiers, just tried to prepare the failed french defensive line.

    • @Bazerald777
      @Bazerald777 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      John Bloodrose I know. But still they are not the last to fall. They are actually the first to fall. The surrender and fall of Poland was the cause that triggers the British to move their forces to the mainland. Without the fall of Poland, British won't make their move. So yeah I don't understand where your "last to fall" statement comes from.

    If Sabaton ever makes a song about some heroic Dutch fight (there aren't many, I think), I'll certainly go to their concert. This looks AWESOME.

  • @randomlyentertaining8287
    @randomlyentertaining8287 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    This is why I think more bands need to record their live performances. So many great concerts are only seen from grainy fan phones and the audio is just too much for a phone's microphone.
    4:41 is about the closest a Swastika has ever gotten to Germany since the 40s.
    No band or singer will ever be get a reaction like this from a crowd except for Sabaton. They sing about something more ingrained in people than the trash most sing about. They sing of love for country and the people who lay down their lives to protect it, even if the fight ends up being futile.

    The historical facts show that in battle of Wizna the number of Polish soldiers was between 335 and 635.
    The data is not precised but independent historians agree that they weren't many more than 500 to 525 a maximum, considering over 40.000 (40.800) strong German Wehrmacht so the real ratio was around 80: 1 Not 40: 1 then. 👊💯🙂🇵🇱👍

    • @mariuszwodzicki3714
      @mariuszwodzicki3714 ปีที่แล้ว

    Me, as a German, cant understand why everybody has to talk about this time. I am not proud of this and I want to forget this time. Youre right, everybody who served SS etc. was German, but not everyone was a Nazi. When you were against Hitler you were arrested or killed and when you fought for him you had the little chance to survive. What would you take? I think the little chance to spend the rest of your life with your family.

      DUDI, vergiss nicht, dass die Deutschen in ihrer demokratischen Mehrheit Hitler gewählt haben, obwohl er von Anfang an gezeigt hatte, dass er das Gesetz für sich biegen wird.
      Wir wissen, dass nicht jeder Deutsche böse war, trotzdem zu viele haben ihn unterstützt und immer noch zu wenige hatten Mut dagegen zu wirken.
      Leider hatten auch die damaligen politischen Größen Europas (England, Frankreich)Hitler zu viel erlaubt. Die Rolle Stalins ist auch nicht zu übersehen.
